How sweet of you to think to ask. I'm not as happy and snappy as I'd like to be. Not quite the usual me. Kind of in the doldrums. Been a period of no work for a month and a half or more. That will change in another two weeks. Work is coming. When I'm not active I tend to do nothing or watch moves on TV or play favorite computer games for weeks on end. Kind of leaves me in a depressed head space. Also Shameless_Heifer is not around, so there is my main hangout buddy to share with. Adds to depression. Ranger doesn't type anymore either. Old partner. M.I.A. Also it's 107 to 110 as a daily high. Live in the air-conditioning and rarely go out. Zero vitamin D. And I always seem to forget to take those too. That will drag one down, also. Vitamin deficiency. Health wise I'm pretty OK. Besides, Thyroid gland issues that have me 115 pound overweight. And a bit of C.O.P.D. that leaves me out of breath if I walk the garbage 45 yards to the dumpster. Also effects other types of activities. Like Dancing. Bummer! At this minute, my big deal is that in one hour I have to go on a clear liquid fast for 28 hours for a Colonoscopy Exam tomorrow afternoon. I hate forced not eating. But somehow I will live though it. LOL Peace!
Oh, Kenny, I'm sorry you've got so much going on! Those things are a pain in the ass to our good energy! I'll be sending lots of positive vibes your way! As far as finding a job, have you thought of trying to find work on Craigslist? What about volunteering somewhere to gain experience to add to your resume, or going back to school? Try to see the good in everything- you're alive, you have good chances of things improving, and you have everyone in this house sending you good vibes and here to support you! Sending big big hugs your way!
Thanks Laci. You're a sweetheart. Thanks. Because I don't like starving myself, I've been putting this procedure off for two years now, after the last time. Hate it. (The starve part) But I was suppose to do this procedure after six months, after the last one. So, I'm a very bad boy. Anyhow some time after 4:00 this afternoon I'll be all finished with it. A good health report is what I'm looking forward to. My girlfriend promises to take me out for too much pizza !!!!!! Stuff me FULL. Happy. How's your work doing? Fill us all in. OK? I hope that it's well. Work wise I'm just saying that if I'm not busy I tend to get sloppy and down in the dumps. Money wise. I'm OK. I get a retirement check which covers rent and some stuff. I have some saving, too. Just in case. I just need to wait another week or two, for a project to fall on top of me. It's already scheduled and coming. Then I'll be active and focused. Thanks though. I'm all good. Or will be, soon.
I understand the getting down without work. If I don't keep busy, my head gets so weird on me. Work is really good, I'm in love with it. It's a lot of physical labor, but I think it'll do me some good, and I'm making good money. Got my first paycheck I've been out with family all day, we were intending to go to the beach but there was rain. We decided to go have lunch at a pizzeria called Mellow Mushroom, it's like a stoner pizza joint basically. It's the most amazing food I've ever eaten in my life, the staff is SO wonderful and professional and just amazing. It's a good place. Then we took the kids to the children's museum to learn and play
hi hippies.. my grandsons had butterflies hatching out & they set them free today.. my son told me a blackbird got one of them, but the children didn't know that.. oh nature - red in tooth & claw! I hope all went well for you Kenny, your medical procedure & long fast, & the celebration pizza.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=295ayRMwKnA
well..you all know me from my blog as an adventurer...a traveller.. :dizzy2: last few days i have been googling around..for trips towards Taiwan or South Korea... my holiday plans towards Bucharest have changed..my gf is away..I wanna do a BIG adventure.. :bulb: i'll probably fly out of Brussels either to Taipei or Seoul around 26th August...and fly back on 25th September.. with Qatar Airways I can do it with 1 stopover in Doha==total flight time==going=16.45h,,,return=19.30h..wooh.. :bigcry: i read some very negative stuff about South Korea in the travel forum here...for me it does not count...one must learn to cope with negativism... I will give you my full report when I come back home...I know i will get comments on how i look...but..that does not scares me off anyway(hihi) when I was in Vama Veche last year some drunk Russians pulled my beard and tried to make a fool out of me telling==hey Rasputin...uhuh.. i've been in worser situtations during my travels in India,Turkish Kurdistan etc..I'll manage...just wish me luck, peeps :bandana: I still have to book the tickets around 10Th August..and my planning can still take another direction.... but...when I got something in my mind===I'll GO for it...could be Taiwan...could be South Korea...
I would prefer to visit japan but i never heard anyone say anything bad about S. Korea. except they do have that whole conflict with their neighbors to the north escalating lately.
Tiger. I believe that I have an extra Santa Claus hat that I can mail to you. I know that if you wore that, then people would think of you very differently. With respect. And a few laughs. LOL. Let me know if you'd want it. OK? I'll send it. Bon voyage. Everybody. I make it through, okay. You are unconscious during the procedure so it's not a pain in the ___. The bad part is the starving for two days and you have to drink stuff that cleans you out. Yesterday afternoon. Tons of great pizza! New York style. Triple cheese with pepperoni. Wow! The best! Pretty good reports from the Doc.
Safe journey Tiger.. it'll be great.. the big adventure.. I've never heard bad stuff about S. Korea either.. everyone's impressions are unique to them, & as you're an intrepid traveller you'll just have a ball.. I was in Sri Lanka for a winter before the Tammils were defeated & there were no tourists, but otherwise as a traveller it was all fine.. in general their quarrel is not with the visitors.. Kenny it's great that all went well & the prognosis is good.. you can get on with having a bit of fun.. I hope our roomies are all in fine fettle.. we'll have a wild party for Tiger's home coming.. :smoke out:
I love Qatar Airways==good service...very good plane..only downfall are the stopovers in Doha... but...it's amazing to see an airport like Doha..with so many destinations, people, and facilities.. https://www.youtube.com/embed/3p00XnnbD-o
never heard anything bad about South Korea???me neither...until I read this here..... http://www.hipforums.com/forum/topic/243200-korea-sucks/
Tiger, I hear that Singapore has a lot of laws and you can go to prison for almost anything. Chewing gum in public is even a big crime. I hear the it' s pretty. But very strict. Please do some research before you go there. Just to be safe. And have a ton of fun, my brother.
oh Tiger, take those comments about s. korea with a pinch of salt.. just one persons impressions.. I spent a winter in Thailand & like the koreans you never saw a young man passing a mirror without stopping to look & tweaking their hair but it was amusing & endearing.. you probably know the 'culture shock' books & they clue you up with our huge cultural differences, but thats why we go off to play in the big wide world.. when you have the travel bug as you do you'll just just enjoy & celebrate our differences.. on the plus side men are more important than women in those countries & you get cosseted in a way that women don't.. I found men just didn't notice when I was laden with baggage & wouldn't think to help - thats what women are for! I'm overcome with mirth as I write.. I take the world as I find it, & that was simply taking a step back in time, at least 100 years.. I had some fun quarrelling with men & telling them I'm not going to be bullied! The shock of a woman saying such a thing! Kenny, the sun is shining in liverpool today, but it's COLD.. like october apparently.. all over this part of the world.. the people in liverpool are friendly, funny & patiently helpful.. my visitors are always charmed by the place.. if we could swap the odd day's weather with you you'd find the cool oh so refreshing, & we'd love a day of melting in the hot sun.. peace & goodwill to you all :daisy:
you've missed this festival but there will be other pleasures.. (jees I think I'll buy a ticket & go to s. korea) http://event-carnival.com/southkorea/boryeong-mud-festival
well..1 fine sunny day..I'll be in LIverpool to meet you,Maura...no pic needed of you....it will be face to face... and...I'll make a detour towards Runcorn...to meet up with Mally...
Some people can say korea sucks for the reasons listed. I say that is the charm of the place. I believe the driving part though. I read an article about china one time and it said something like usa has 90% more cars and 90% less accidents.
