It was windy at the cemetery today. I did not put flowers on Mom's grave. I am at the cemetery pretty much daily though except when we get really deep snow in the winter and the car might get stuck.

I planted more daffodils at the grave on Tuesday. Hopefully they will come up when spring comes. Very cold and windy today. After Thanksgiving Dad and I will put down a grave blanket for the winter.

 

Hope everyone had a splendid Halloween! Here's Ben and I dressed up, aha. He was a banana, I was a scarecrow.






And here's my "big baby" costume, it didn't end up getting worn more than an hour or so before the onesie got uncomfortable

 

I had way too much fun handing out way too much candy to batches of kids. One of the moms even said, "You are the best neighbor." That thrilled me. And making all of the kids super happy.

 

We had some super cute kids stop over Made me think of my childhood- ah, the nostalgia!

 

Yeah, You're right. That's what it's all about.
I remember back when I was a kid, me and my brother scored BIG Time every Halloween. We went out extra early and went very late. Mega Candy TIME.

It's all about the FUN.

 

It's heartwarming to see this thread coming alive....well..over here Halloween,All saints day is over...
i did not go out much...I live in a social housing project and I got no neighbours on 1 side...I love that... :bandana:
the downside of it is that the oak trees next to my house.. are shedding ALL their leafs..
and they end up in my garden or in front of my garage...that means...cleaning up time..
we got a notice in our mailbox from our community hall saying this wintertime...it will be possible they will CUT electricity for few hours...
they give advice what to do..I never have known in my entire lifetime that there was an electricity shortage.. :devil:
how can this happen,for heavens sake..this world is going down the drain,is it??

When it came out I was going out to India on a job ! it was a shit job and I realy didnt want to go but the people I would be working for were really nice so I made my mind up to make the best of it !!
Then that song came on the TV and the lyric "thank you India " kinda struck a chord

saw her live in Liverpool about a year ago and she was awesome ! reminded me of that time in my life

That's a nice story,Mally..i know India quite well...been there 4 or 5 times...
Runcorn..on the Mersey close to Liverpool...i remember the Mersey beat music(ahah)
the Searchers,Gerry and the Pacemakers,etc...so many music bands came from around that regio in the 60's..
I got a CD rom from Alanis Morissette with 18 tracks..nice music really..

This past year they did the U.S. My lady saw them here and my sister saw them in her city back in April. Get a penny jar and start holding back money a bit at a time. oldtiger too.

 

I really think I may try and get to this gig.It would be an amazing experience.I have an old school friend I go to gigs with two or three times a year so I think I'll give him a bell and see if he wants to go.I also want to go to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.It's open after dark and they have fairground rides,food-stalls,ice skating rink and all kinds of fun stuff for adults and children alike.I may see if my ex-partner wants to go with me to this,as we have recently become friends again.

 

Hopes everyone is doing well! I'm going to be babysitting for a half hour tonight, should be an experience. Ran out of cookies I was munching on
