Can people please read the sticky in the Politic forum A polite notice And the Politics forum Guidelines Politics Forum Guidelines The second of which states very clearly - As often stated this is not a bulletin board it is a place to debate politics. [my bold] The Politics forum has long been different than the other forums in the Hip universe with its own rules and even at times restrictions (at one time you needed to have posted 100 posts in other forums before been allowed to post in Politics) It has also allowed a certain amount of leeway - there is a realisation that debates can be heated and a blind eye can be given BUT too often these days there are those coming to the forum that have no intention of entering into debate and others whose sole purpose seems to be to snipe at those that do and disrupt those that are taking place. If people genuinely wish to debate they are welcome but if not and only post in Politics to spread lies and culture war propaganda they are not welcome and their posts may be deleted and if they persist in trying to be disruptive then other measures might need to be taken.
Trud Where have I attacked honest business owners? Why given what I’ve said do you think I just have a problem with the stock market? I’ve posted many solutions to many things I see as problems, you would know that if you came to the forum to read what people say. And I can’t read your mind but I can read what you have said - If you see it then you can tell us what you think it is? Sorry it was you that said I had ‘motives’ so again I ask what do you think they are? LOL Then why do you keep doing it?
The stock market has been brought up and here are few thoughts. The stock market in my opinion has become too divorced from the ‘real’ economy to often it seems to be used as a casino rather than what it’s me to be which is a means raising capital that is used to invest in the real world. And that has been encouraged neoliberal ideas that the ‘free market’ always knows what is best and always has ‘good’ outcomes which to me is fundamentally incorrect – first there is no such thing as a free market, e never has been and there never could be, and second there have been too mant financial crashes caused by lack of regulation of markets for a belief that letting markets do what they want is going to have good outcomes. Markets need regulation so they work for everyone, they need to be made to do what they are meant to do raise real world investment not for speculative gambling. Things like buyback schemes should be made illegal as a form of stock market manipulation that do nothing for the real world or the companies doing then accept enrich the bosses. Walls need to be put up in banks between investment holdings and savings, a Tobin Tax needs to be introduced and a well-financed oversight body with real teeth set up to monitor the markets. Yes there are those that would scream that such regulation of markets was some form of ‘socialism’ but to me it just makes obvious sense.
like the guy who said he would agree to disagree earlier in this thread, thinking he was talking about a capitalist country when referring to I think Iraq It was and is not a capitalist country. It is theocratic, tribalIsm as well, which the left has become by the way. I came back at this statement with facts about the government there, but he simply went away. Tribalism is socialist and left wing, tribalism means living with groups of like minded people that have each other AND the collective best interest at heart. They also have their enemies, which is the others. You know, those damned racist people. Black lives matter, their manifesto was like reading mijn Kampf. Hitler, while saying he was anti Marxist, was not actually that. His entire philosophy was from Marxist. He created a them and us. The greedy vs us. Us vs. Them. That is what hitler did under a utopian dream and a socialist dream. Same with Lenin. Blm is no different, looking to divide the people for political gain by the support of the left. all lives matter, regardless of ethnicity, that is inclusive, blmbla was funded to create the divide people based on ethnicity for the socialist dream, which is accomplished through destruction and killing of opposition in history. Chop was a good example of how prepared they are to live amongst everyone. no plan... get guns! Migraine today, hopefully this made sense, I sometimes get ahead of myself and skip parts and connections. Especially when I have a headache, no? January-February 1849 in an article by Engels called "The Hungarian Struggle" with Marx. They started a paper together as well. Revolution definitely 8nvolved killing, genocide and destruction. It drew conclusions from the practical experience of revolutionary struggle that Marx demonstrated the objective necessity of social revolutions, and to enrich the whole theory of revolution by the idea that revolutions are the “locomotives of history”, rushing forwards the historical progress and stimulating the masses to destroy, fight! Kill. . He showed how in revolutionary periods history is sped up and to accomplish this you must get rid of individualism, collective thought is necessary and genocide, killing your opposition is necessary to achieve socialism. Capitalism is also necessary for socialism to win. Must paint opposition as evil. The people must be divided.
Errrmmm - Didn't you say, and I seem to recall were very proud of the fact, that you are a 'native' Canadian ??? That being so, aren't you part of a tribe ??? and don't you have your tribal interests at heart ???
yes 8 am but also an individual within, I don’t blindly follow as8 have stated many times before. But you like blinded followers! Do you Lenin? Politics form tribes ... no interest in their tribes that dictate. As I said before, self determination isn’t dictated to by you, which we have the rights to as individuals. That doesnt mean taking from another. Furthermore, the term tribe is offensive and obsolete Vlad, when referring to aboriginal people in Canada. In the USA as well. Bigoted! It was used to say them vs us. To create the divide and hatred.
I feel misrepresented by that. I believe that you can achieve wholeness as a nation through culminated effort. That sacrifice of part of your income can mean ultimate social progress. You don't feed that with hate, anger, violence, etc. I don't believe in killing or violence. I don't think that Marx wanted that either.
Beach Again you make my point, you just keep digging deeper by posting yet another long post and this one with no solutions in it just more complaints, blame and insults. Have you even the ability to be positive, yes we all get it you don’t like socialism or anything that to you smells of it - OK noted - but what has your philosophy in opposition got to contribute?
Well, that's what I was asking for, a discussion. As opposed to attempting to discredit someone by asking "questions" to box a person out of consideration when sound characterizations are made. Anyway, to this discussion... First, I'm not a "stock market person" so my knowledge of the specifics involving its operation are minimal at best. But I can speak on the theory. It's a way for people of modest means to invest money in hopes of a return. Clearly it's a "gamble", that's the nature of the beast. But life itself is a gamble, not even our next breath is certain. We do the best we can and take our chances. As with anything, corruption is going to find a way. Money moving around is an obvious target. And it's hardly limited to the stock market, banks, and such - government is the biggest target of all and attracts the most corruption. The more power it has to control the movement of money, the greater the attraction of corruption, simply due to the nature of man and the susceptibility to temptation. The biggest thing to keep something like the stock market in check is its reputation. Nobody who believes the stock market is "rigged" or otherwise dishonest or unfair is going to utilize it as an investment tool. If that happens on a large scale, it will cease to exist. Good will is the only thing between the stock market being functional or defunct.
If, as you say the expression 'tribe' is offensive, how come in your response to me, you use the expression, not once, but twice !!!
Theocratic, I used the term tribalism to simplify the term for him. It is relating to or denoting a system of government in which imams rule in the name of Their god. . Mother Earth is a living being, as are the waters and the Sun. So are the trees and creatures within.. There is a difference. You continually show your ignorance.
If the moslems are tribal, so too are the Inuit and the American and Canadian Indians, who are also tribal.
. Again, bigoted term, and just not true. Are we at war with each other? Killing one another? Nope. But I am sure you wish we were.
trud Questions are asked to seek information and understanding – that is how debate works – are you going to enter into debate by answering questions or are you refusing to do so meaning you don’t wish to debate honestly
Trud So why not do some research? Why not find out? I mean what follows on from this in your post are your suppositions based on what? Well from reading it, it seems to be based on already held prejudices rather than actual knowledge. What do you mean by ‘government’? What corruption are you talking about? You don’t talk of laws or institution but of ‘nature’ why? And rather than rational and reasonable solution you vaguely talk of the stock market just ceasing to exist and being defunct if it isn’t reformed – why not reform it? The best way to learn is by answering questions finding out what you know and what you don’t, what stands up to scrutiny and what doesn’t – rather than remaining ignorant and trying to wing it. So let’s start again and go back and answer my original questions and then let’s go on from there.
well that is not what he said, he said it was necessary in his paper called Neue Rheinische Zeitung and continually pushed that.
