    This morning it was a nice crisp and cool 70 degrees F outside, the castle walls cooled off a bit and are not hot to the touch.

    Looks to be a bit cooler today as well. Dry air has returned, the massive puddles after the last rains have all evaporated. Leaving clouds of mosquitos everywhere... so the city is going around with the bug spraying trucks at sunset this next week. Fogging they call it.

    So how would you like this job?

    I don't think so...

    The government asks that as the trucks pass by to open your doors and windows to let the gases inside. WHAT???

    Insecticide is not good for people's health :(

    After experiencing the second hottest September since records were kept over 150 years ago, the first day in October is slightly below average.

    On average we experience our first frost on or about October 10th, and our first killing frost or hard freeze in the last week of October.

    Good Friday Morning to my HIP forum friends from Rhos On Sea/Colwyn Bay here in North Wales UK.
    It's lovely and Sunny outside right now.
    Only 12c though at the moment so very chilly.
    Will warm up a bit to 14c as the day goes on though.
    Thankful for small mercies!

    By all accounts the apples are doing great this year.

    There was an article in Country Living magazine which rated Massachusetts as one of the top ten destinations for apple picking in the country.

    Also, we still remain number #2 in cranberry production behind Wisconsin, with Ocean Spray being the largest producer of cranberries in the state. The cranberry bog tours still remain a popular tourist attraction
