As an owner/volunteer and rescuer of senior dogs it just never gets easier we said goodbye to our oldest yesterday he was between 12-14 years old and we only had him for 2 years 1 week of that thankfully most of that 2 years was good, he just could not catch a break this year age just would not let his poor body enough time to recover it started with a hot spot back in may then on and off diarrhea that we just could not get under control he was off and on several meds and foods for it and just when we thought we had it beat it would come back and after waking us up yesterday at 4 am to go and then vomiting up his undigested breakfast we made the difficult decision to say good bye. We thought we would have more time with him alas it was not to be we could not let him suffer as much as it hurt us to let him go it was the only thing the best thing we could do for him,,,, REST EASY Little Mann, watch out for Troy imgur.com
undoubtedly you did your best, and he will have appreciated it, I've rescued several dogs all of them ill unfortunately, my sorrow at losing them is tempered by the knowledge that despite what they'd been through with their previous owners, for the last few weeks or months of their lives they had care compassion and kindness.Take care my friend.
