So far, as far as I can remember I've posted threads about two different philosophical systems.

    Here they are:
    1. Advaita vedanta.
    2. Hills' theory of consciousness.

Time for a third, but I'm looking for input on which to do.
I have several in mind, but I'll post two for consideration and if there is an interest in one or the other...it's a go!

    1. The Book, On the Taboo Against Knowing Who you Are, Watts, Alan, 1966.
Watts was an Episcopal priest, a member of the London Buddhist Lodge, studied Zen in New York City under Sokei-an Sasaki, had a weekly radio show in San Francisco, taught at numerous universities, experimented with mescaline, LSD, and marijuana, wrote more than twenty five books, and was famous for helping to introduce and explain Zen, Vedanta, Taoism, and Yoga to the West.

    From the book:
    2. Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Pirsig, Robert M., 1974.
Pirsig was a professor of creative writing who wrote two philosophical novels, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, An Inquiry into Values, and Lila, An Inquiry into Morals. He had a purported I.Q. of 170 and graduated high school at the age of fourteen. There are only about 0.1% of the general population with an I.Q of 145, Albert Einstein had an I.Q. of 160. He studied philosophy at Banaras Hindu University in India, biochemistry at the University of Minnesota, and earned a master's degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota.

    From the book:

Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance is intellectual western romanticism, while Watts is also, but adds more intellectual twaddle. The Zen are not like you and me, they know things.

Okay, due to an overwhelming statistical response, an unbridled enthusiastic interest, and an unheralded lack of concern, I'm going to delve into The Book, On the Taboo Against Knowing Who you Are, by Alan Watts.

I choose this one for two reasons:
    1. It's the shorter of the two books.
    2. It's sitting here in front of me.
    3. Why not?

I'll start a new thread about it so you can choose to ignore it if you wish.
