The 3D conversion that they released on the 20th anniversary is really good. They took their time and did a proper conversion to 3D.

If you're not all caught up, you might not understand what happened in the mid-credits scene,

I haven't seen it (I hate scary movies), but I've heard that it has some massive plot holes. Something about it being set in the aftermath of an apocalypse that wipes out civilization leaving only isolated survivors, but somehow electricity is still reliably available.

True. No details went into explaining such devastation. I just assumed it was caused by he aliens.

How familiar are you with Marvel Comics and the general Marvel Comics universe?

I watched Dunkirk last night for the first time since I saw it at the cinema on release.
I loved it then, and even more now. Much better the second time. Truly great film!

There is an underlying theme through most of them about a big purple dude named Thanos who is trying to capture all the infinity stones for himself.

He is the guy who sent Loki to invade NYC in the first Avengers movie. He also featured heavily in the first Guardians of the Galaxy.

That theme is going somewhere. I'm not sure if I should tell you more, as it would spoil the recent movies for you.

I’m up to speed with Infinity War, so I know what’s going on with the end credit scene in Antman and Wasp. I haven’t yet watched Spider-Man Homecoming or Black Panther

Oh I understand the plots, as I've kept up with all the movies, I was confused because we were talking about "A Quiet Place", and what was the basis for why most of the population was wiped out. They were food for the aliens.

Oops. That was my confusion. For some reason I thought you were responding to my post (#2746) regarding the credits scene in Ant Man and the Wasp.

Regarding A Quiet Place, the problem as I understand it is that after most of the population is wiped out, somehow electricity is still being generated and transmitted reliably.

I finally saw the new IT on HBO. Not bad. I think I liked the old Pennywise a little better, but this had better effects. "We all float, you'll float too!"
