    Did you know Fender still makes guitars in Mexico? There is a factory in Ensenada... it may be a rusty bolt.

    From what I've read, that factory has stepped up it's game and those "Made in Mexico" Fenders are as good as the USA factory models. (not including the Custom Shop stuff.)


    As an aside... I turned down a job at the Fender Custom Shop when it was first starting up in the old Fender shop in Corona California...

    Sadly the Best fender Guitars At the mo are the Squier "made in China " ones in my opinion ! Fit and Finish is far superior (I have actually posted on the Fender forum on this ) and they are (in the UK ) a third of the price of US Fenders .

    Yeah, I know. I see this all the time though. Guys will bash Epiphone for being a bolt neck guitar, because the cheapest models are... Meanwhile, a Tele or a Strat is their all time favorite guitar, because.... ummmm... dunno.gif

    Epiphones are generally set neck guitars ! its only the £99 Epiphones with bolt on necks , I have an Eppi 339 and its a wonderful guitar (set neck though ) I have never owned a bolt on Epiphone

    But my original statement stands "only the cheaper Epiphones have bolt on necks "
