As said in my previous posting.. a marriage in India..is some ceremony.. I did like the traditional *saptapadi* it's for the couple to walk 7 times.. around the sacred fire.. the*pandit*leads the whole ceremony.. the*mangalsutra*put on the married wife.. is usually worn lifelong.. http://weddings.iloveindia.com/kannada-wedding/wedding-rituals.html
An indian wedding...is always a big affair.. it costs lots of money..and it's always a big celebration.. I've seen a few weddings in India..it's a lifetime experience.. the*mehendi*is done in very different ways.. it's like a temporary henna tattoo.. in Hindu weddings..there's the walking 7 times around a fire.. http://images.google.be/images?q=mehendi&hl=nl&um=1&sa=X&oi=images&ct=title Tiger

Travelling in and through India is not an easy thing.. Usually most Western tourists go on package tours.. you would be surprised of the luxury of hotels in India.. to give an example..Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai(see link) http://www.indianholiday.com/hotels...-taj-mahal.html Oberoi and other luxury chains of hotels are all over present.. If you travell individually..let's say backpack hippie style then..be prepared for real hassles..contrasts..and adventure.. the trips I made crisscross India..well..I can tell you all.. it's a real test for the nerves..first the hassle of beggars.. finding a place to sleep..the cheating of rickshaw wallahs.. the heat..the booking of a train trip..the bus rides.. but..after all..sometimes..when you are in India itself.. you hate it..but once home..you sit..and think.. wawww..I wanna go back there..funny..but it's true.. India is such a vast country..it will take a lifetime.. to discover the real sense of it I wish that some more of you peeps will travel there.. and let me know their experiences.. Meanwhile..if you want to go there..just contact me.. I'll be very glad to tell you something about India.. and in this journal..you certainly will find something... Tiger
