This message was handed out on pieces of paper this morning after breakfast and we were forced to chant it:

Speak this now::: I need not fear. I am energy-eleMental. I am the Mind Infinite and Universal. I am its Manifest action unto Morality. I am Divine as It is Divine. I doubt not this Truth. All Power awaits my Yes. This Yes is my Love. My Love is barren without this Yes. There is no Life without my Yes - there is existence only. I acknowledge this Holy Essence of Me, the who and what of Me. I am. This is my Belief. This is the Soul of Me. I am forever changed. Now I am Life. Now I am my Yes... (verbatim)

Fuck, I'm only 19, I'm too young to give into this shit.

Hi, I'm most interested in western Virginia and anyone starting up an intentional community or has an exisiting one that maybe is not getting going quickly or publicized, that is mostly interested in living lightly on the land...not into saving the world, traveling activism (because it's over...we've reached the tipping point), extreme sexual orientations as the main focus or religious visions (exception would be earth based religions, gaia, pagan, wicca, buddhist...but definitely not bible thumping). There are a couple of communities, one of which looks nice that I'm in dialogue with and hoping to revisit and stay a few days soon. The ic.org website directory seems full of wishful thinking or farms looking for free labor and consist of 2 owners and 4 kids. I'd like a community of 10 or 20 people tops, with individual cabins or yurts or straw-bale small houses...not into the Twin Oaks style though I highly respect what they are doing there...it's just not for me living in a dorm and tofu-making is hot, hard work!!! I'd rather be learning to take care of a few goats, cows, chickens...learning solar power and organic gardening, rain-water collection, solar ovens for cooking etc.
I'm not in my 20's anymore but my attitude is young as can be. I have a dog and am not broke....anybody out there like me and interested in the western part of Virginia, especially Floyd, Blue Ridge Parkway, Christiansburg, somewhere off I-81...it's beautiful country out there...and time is short as the multiple disasters of the Real Estate collapse, Peak Oil, Peak Food, Credit crunch etc all point to a 1929 style depression...we have little time to make our move and community is the way to survive it. I live in Virginia now and it's a beautiful county but the average age is like 78 and 99.999% of the population are bible-thumpers....can't take it much longer.

I'm nineteen too, I'm currently staying at Echowood down in Texas. We got your email and are going to do all we can to help you out of that messed up spot. I'm really sorry that Zendik is so screwed up and hope that everything will work out fine. Before I decided to come to Echowood I had looked at the Zendik website and it had creeped me out a bit.... it was all pictures of one woman and nobody else. Echowood is a good place and it is a egalitarian community.
Aaron, he does the email replies he will be replying to your email soon and we'd really like to hear from you. Good luck man and hold on, hopefully you can hitch your way safely out here.

    Matapeak,

Too bad you restict to only warmer climes.....we sound like we come close to like mindedness; but we be in the S.W. Finger lakes region ... about 50 miles N of the Penn stateline and probably approx 6 hrs from W. Virg...... Have the land and most of the equip., but shy on people...Living on the land solo with 2 others involved but not able to be present full time.
Probably this link is best oversight http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2917&page=1
....my own posts and old crone's and moving cloud's ... kind of give a good idea of the mindset of all presently involved.

If at all interested, do e mail with something in the topic/title description (email adresses on bottom of this post) to let us know we should open what will come to our spam mail inbox....I would PM but you would not receive and have had challenges with emails through hipforums in the past.
Good luck and may fortune bless you in manifesting your desires as you grow your Way

    Blessings
    Namaste

So just letting everyone know, I happily made it to Echowood and am forever free of the Zendiks.

For anyone curious, never, ever go to visit the Zendiks. They are a cult, regardless of what anyone there says to you.

Well thank goodness!! I was worried about you. The only thing I was able to come up with was getting the local police out there to give you an escort out, but I didn't know if you would be cool with that - so I'm glad you found another way out! Good luck with Echowood and/or whatever else comes your way in the future.
