There is an increase of youth violence. i believe that new reforms to how the courts deal with juvenile criminals should be sought. At the moment young criminals recieve lenient sentences which do not reflect their criminal act.

I tell you something now, that the exact reason is this:
After those two kids killed that other kid, a huge crowd gathered outside the court and it was the intention of this crowd to get those kids and kill them - many fought with the police and threw bricks at the van and carried weapons. Now it may not seem odd to some, and it may not seem laughably stoopid to some, that many people in that crowd had the intention to murder two people. And what if the crowd had got what they wanted ????

The law is actually designed that way to stop idiots making murderers of themselves - its bad enough those people are outright halfwits without them having blood on their hands

This is also illustrated by the fact that a man was murdered because a crowd of idiots believed he was a paedophile. It happened after the newspapers whipped up furious protests about paedophiles -
They killed him because on his wall was a plaque which read
    "Paediatric Doctor"
The law isnt to protect the criminals - far from it - its to protect the british average citizen, because they really are that fucking thick

Why should we think about the socioeconomic factors which give rise to antisocial behaviour when it's so much easier to talk about locking them up and throwing away the key? That way we don't have to think about the causes at all, when we can just a plaster on the wound and hope it will go away:rolleyes:

    class divide is the problem

an unfair world causes crime to be honest
not enough money in the family home
low education as i said before
and a blinded nation also is to blame..
while one side of this planet starves
the fat cats live very well....

the system works for the upper classes
    but not the lower
    so it needs to change
to give each generation the same
    the chance to live ......
    lovenpeace from saff
this government and many others are greedy...also

well, it's crazy though. my husband is dyed in the wool trailer trash. their trailer was run down, on the side of the highway, no grass, no benefits. for a while they lived in a tent and he bathed in a bucket. but he's not there now. he's a high school dropout, former addict with no college education. but he's still kicking ass and moving up. but i have to say, never in my entire life have i seen anyone with his work ethic. the jobs he's had, work he's done. he is pretty extraordinary. if it was me, i'd never have made it out of the trailer.

Agree with 99%. However if we take Ian Huntley. A huge 12th century mob with nine year old Amy and six year old peter in tow for emotive affect. These parents, other people who gathered all through stuff at the van he was in and lots of people said they would kill him, well so far we know what Ian huntley looks like, we get newspaper articles suggesting that the prison service has bribed huntley by giving him a PS3, a stereo and a carpet just to stop Huntley from ducking out of eternal damnation. But the point is, we all know what Huntley looks like and when he is let out, he will be hunted down. But, his identity is for all to see and he hasn't recieved amnimity? Like before, the law is crazy.
