in the beginning of high school, I was a straight A student. then I stopped doing anything I didn't view as necessary as far as actually learning/understanding the material (which basically amounted to only participating in tests and writing assignments). my grades were shit, I barely graduated. the only reason I've been accepted to university (ies) is my test scores and such. 33 on the ACT and various 5s and 4s on AP tests. I'm not much of a student. I love to learn, but I hate the system.
i varied...in 9th and 10th grade i was in the smart classes and did great on tests and such but never did homework so i go lousy grades. by 11th i was in the low level classes and realized that i a fuck up and started doing better and my senior year i had distinguished honor roll and perfect attendance in the normal classes(not smart upper level classes but not the low level ones either)...thinking back i should have just done work in 9th grade and i wouldn't have ended up in art school but i like where i am now and im glad i did what i did
I went to a tiny private school. There were 56 people in my grad class. So I don't know about class rank or GPA. But I made straight A's all through HS, think I made 2 B's my senior year. I took 3 AP classes and got into all the schools I applied to. The teachers liked me a lot though I caused a lot of trouble.
There were 20 people in my class at the private school i use to go to. Congrats on the good grades...and your teachers liking you even though you were a troublemaker.
I was ALL over the place in hs.. between France and Spain and the US.. and many different schools.. besides I repeated a grade, then skipped two.. then dropped-out.. and finally got a US GED.. a mess. My grades were generally bad in European schools, in the US they were excellent.
yes, my dad has to travel a lot, and he's swiched between living in France and travel to Spain to living in Spain and travel to France for 15 years now. and the US thing that was me alone on a exchange program!
