You Know You're a Hippie If...

Or when talking about your good friend who's last name is Haight.

 

oh oh oh! i did that this morning and it was beautiful. it was raining and everything was quiet and i felt a deep connection with life when the sun peaked up over the trees.


to add to the list:
You know you're a hippy if.... you count dancing in a thunder storm as a religious experience.

You know you're a hippy if.... you celebrate earth day, world kindness day, and turned every light and unplugged every appliance for the minute of peace.

You know you're a hippy if.... you give hugs to strangers and smile at evryone you pass while walking.

Appliance?

 

you know. like...the toaster. and microwave. did i spell it wrong? i wouldnt be surprised. lol.

 

Toaster? Micowave?

 

see, the toaster is this thing that you put bread in. and after you push this button, toast pops out! isnt that nifty? arguably, you can also put bagles and waffels and such in there too, but really? its called a toaster because it makes toast.
and the microwave is what you put cold things in to make them warm quickly. this process is often know as "nuking" something.
i guess what you're trying to get across is:
you maybe a hippie if you didnt have appliances (i did spell it right! i looked it up!) to unplug.

and you smile and wave and say nice a nice day and you mean it

 

you may be a hippy if when someone asks for toilet paper you give them leaves and moss.

 

amen. and i honestly love the odd looks i get from it too. but even better is when people say it back with the same sincerity.

well actually i might have if she hadnt looked at me for a split scond and then hustled her kid off in the oppposite direction. i like to think that she was taking her off to tell her not to comment on things like that out loud. lol. what can i say. im optimistic.
