I'm also a lesbian. I ride horses, I used to compete in archery and fencing. I hunt, I fish and I like to drive my truck down a muddy dirt road. I guess I'm a religious minority being a heathen, I'm German and my wife is Irish.
Can someone please start the woke off thread, that would be heaps of fun I can't do it, everyone would just think it's sarcastic
No, there would be some that are woke in a good way Like bagel, that's cool Our two resident soy boys trying to out woke her, I'd like to see that
as I said, if we weren’t taxed to death, we could afford to pay for more than you think. I love it when people who do not live her have a view of this country that is completely wrong and fucked up. My mistake, it is Medicaid not Medicare. Does that make a difference? you know what happens in Canada when you make money? You switch to privatized healthcare and you have to pay for the government healthcare program and your own.
they want a Canadian type system, and can’t look into it themselves. The grass is always greener on the other side until you get there. They should be careful on what they wish for, once it is in place maybe them they will understand.
I agree that each country should implement there own. Not give to people who have not paid into the system. We in Canada can not afford to. But this is not how the government is doing. also you talk of the USA GDP. GDP can be calculated in three ways, using expenditures, production, or incomes? you have to look at the ratio of national debt To gdp ratio. another thing the government brought in here was a goods and services tax. On top of your provincial sales tax. on everything you buy, so we pay on top of hidden taxes + 13% in Ontario. This GST was suppose to be used to pay off the national debt. Do you think that happened at all? They told us this to get the people on board with this 5 - 7 % increase in taxes. It never happened!? It was not used as they said it would be used.
Shrug. It's not like you're the only person from Canada I've ever talked to lol. My view is based on what I've heard from other Canadians and most seem very grateful for their health system in comparison to the US. If anything I think your view of the healthcare system in the US is skewed And your tax rate isnt really that bad considering you dont have to worry about private insurance premiums/deductibles or uninsured medical bills and your prescription drug costs are so much lower than the US. And you have maternity benefits so your womenfolk dont have to give birth in the fields and go right back to work Compare it to the US - first is Canada, second is US. Not that much difference but you have way better benefits than the US. We're getting gyped.
No one? Why do politicians like Sanders and Warren keep referring it as “free” in their own words? Are they dumb enough to believe it’s actually free, and you happen to be smarter than them? Or maybe they realize it isn’t free. And they are just using that word to manipulate the economically gullible of this country either way it’s pure evil.
Grandpa 6-eyed was a surgeon who used to provide free house calls to patients. For some of his patients who couldn’t afford everything upfront, he did appointments and procedures in exchange for his patients giving his kids piano lessons. Healthcare politics was a lot less regulated and complicated back in the mid 20th century. Over time it got more and more regulated and worse. Because Of this there’s no way any doctor today could do what Grandpa 6 did back in his day. So there is no way any politician who’s never read a medical textbook can convince me that socialized medicine is the way to go. No way. No how.
