naw, man. you've just been desensitized to the words fag and that's why it doesn't mean much to you. it means a lot to some people. using ****** isn't any differnt that using fag. why did you say 'the N word' instead of ******? i thought if you didn't use it to offend then it's ok... you're not making too much sense edit: i had a gay teacher once. in that class there was a kid that, one day, was using the word fag in a way that didn't mean fag but was used to mean something bad, like you do. the teacher FLIPPED THE FUCK OUT on this kid. she was really hurt by him using the word in that manner.
Nerd Wisdom #243: Swearing Kaylee: Come on, admit it, it's true. Simon: No, I won't, because it's not. I use swear words like anybody else. Kaylee: Oh, really? See, I never heard you. So when is it you do all of this cussin'? After I go to bed, or... Simon: I swear when it's appropriate. Kaylee: Simon, the whole point of swearing is that it ain't appropriate.
i dont want to look racist. (grrr... good point... but thats what i was saying before, which is why i didnt say ******, becuase there is alot more history to it and more meaning) and thats what i was getting at before, there is a lot more history or racism behind the word ****** then there is against saying fag. even if i wasnt saying it offensively, black people would still be offended. ( like in the adventures of huckleberry finn?) I guess you could say the same with the word fag, but as you said im desensitized to it. i may never know.
bust discrimination in a different way is ok? absolutely you can say the same thing with the word fag i don't blame you, though. i blame society. our society teaches people to be ok with some differences, but not all. people can only accept one thing at a time for some reason. as far as 'more history in the word ******' or whatever that was. there's a lot of gay rights stuff going on now! this is the age of the gay rights movement, man. there will be history behind the word fag, one day.
