Only a person that is over hiring and firing could really answer this. I would NEVER give a good reference to anybody that blathers on and on about how great Orange Dumbo is...ESPECIALLY after his thoughts on the fires in California and his varying thoughts on how they could/should have been avoided.

Of course his very recent actions of not being able to go anywhere in the rain and his not even putting a wreath to honor the American soldiers in the US cemetery in France (because of that rain ), yet the French were able to handle that drizzle and they did what his sorry butt should have done have done...has done nothing to increase his popularity for those that are able to see the reality of having such an idiot as POTUS..

Anyway here is you back in November of 2016 when you seemed to be happy to be seem as part of the alt-right and didn’t seem to worry that much that other alt-righters were racists.

As most of you are well aware, there is a new movement that came to fruition in the last year alone called the Alt-Right. Who is the Alt-Right? Various political leaders and journalists have attempted to define the Alt-Right with simplistic rhetoric and varying degrees of accuracy and fallacy. Hillary defined the Alt-Right as a phenomenon that emerged from the dark corners of the internet as a racist ideology. Salon says its basically white nationalism. While I cannot say this is completely untrue, the fact is racism identifies with no one single political ideology. Some racists identify alt-right, but the movement is more diverse than that. Yet the media has misrepresented the movement by painting every member with a single paint stroke. Personally I'd define the alt-right as an alternative to the dying generation of neo-conservatism of the Bush years, and the dwindling popularity of basic republicanism. One thing most of them have in common is their utter disgust in corporate globalism, global governance, and wasteful interventionism. They despise identity politics, censorship, and language policing.

Thing is I can see why white nationalists might identify with things like being against global governance, and for isolationism, they are nationalists and they could claim to dislike such things as identity politics, as a means of attacking groups that are ‘culturally’ different (not blending in). And they might be opposed to liberal censorship and language policing as if hinders them in being ‘normalised’ and being able to spread their racism.

The question is why are you opposed, in this alt-right context, opposed to the same things?

And again your post are full of spite, vinegar, grievance and petty name calling while all the criticisms of your views remain unanswered.

Just going to answer original question - not if they had a reasoned argument. You know it's going downhill though when the insults start to fly. I tend not to argue unless I have a good knowledge of what I am talking about and get really pissed if the other person is just spouting phrases straight out of the party policy document or what they just heard on the news etc.

National socialism is just as bad as global socialism. The writer of America's Pledge of Allegience, Francis Bellamy was a Christian Socialist who lobbied for a strong central government, and championed the abolition of state's rights. Socialism is a lot harder to implement in a smaller government where individual states, cities, and communities can create their own laws. It's no wonder USA school children are required to stand and recite the pledge. It's brainwashing. Not only was the writer of the Pledge a socialist, but Hitler was a national socialist too.

The question for you is, why are you in favor of censorship and language policing?

The problem I have with censorship, is that if you give the government the kind of power to jail people who utter racist talking points, that same government has the power to jail people like you who utter leftist talking points. One day, your worst enemies could take power, and put all leftwingers in jail because they preceive left wing opinions as hate speech. This is an example of why free speech is so important. I personally don't like bigoted opinions being spoken out in the open, but I'm glad to wave if off as a small ugly side affect of living in a free society. Besides, if you crack down on people you don't like, you will push them into the underground, where they'll become even MORE taboo and forbidden, where you then run a great of alluring more people to hate groups.

Good for you. I probably am as critical about radical Islam as you are. My problem with you is that you paint with a broad brush, and usually don't distinguish between radical and moderate Islam in your over-generalizations.

Far be it from me to criticize western civilization. Us Injuns from the Five Civilized Tribes are called "civilized" because we got into cultural appropriation of western civilization big time early on. If it weren't for us Chickasaws supporting things like the Oklahoma Philharmonic and the Chickasaw Chamber Music Festival, Oklahoma might be stuck with crappy western swing. Maria Tallchief, from one of the "uncivilized tribes", the Osage, was America's first prima ballerina. Western cultural chauvinists go to the opposite extreme, though, and claim that western culture is superior to all others--certainly a debatable claim and one that fosters ethnocentrism at the expense of multicultural appreciation. Face it, the AltRight/AltLite is an attack on the values of western civilization. The Troglodytes in their MAGA hats would be doing well to be able to spell western civilization. And Trump's blatant disregard of the norms of civilized behavior and the values of decency and respect for the rule of law and human rights is a much bigger threat to western civilization than all the "Postmodernists" and "Neo-Marxists" at Berkeley, Harvard,Vassar, Smith, Bryn Mawr, and Portland State U. combined. The Visigoths are in the Oval Office. Western civilization is doomed!

LOL – if you’d only read my posts or read a bit of US history you’d know the US government has done that already.

The socialist Eugene Debs was sentenced in 1918 to ten years in prison and had his ‘right’ to vote taken away from him for life. His crime was speaking up against the administration of President Woodrow Wilson and US involvement in WWI.

Another socialist opponent of the war was also sentence to prison Victor Berger however he did get elected to Congress but was refused entry this caused a re-election that he again won, but he was still refused entry.

In other areas like New York openly socialist representatives to the city and state - who had been democratically elected - were also barred from their posts.

Around this time many states passed laws banning the display of red flags (a communist and socialist emblem) and the federal government set up the General Intelligence Division headed by none other than J. Edger Hoover to monitor (harass) left wing ‘radicals’.

This harassment turned into repression during the late 1930’s with the establishment of the committee for ‘Un-American Activities’. This was set up to root out people whose view didn’t conform to what was thought of as American (basically thought policemen) and what the US political elite that had a grip on the system came to see those with left wing views as un-American.

It began by targeting those that advocated the overthrow of any government in the United States. Now think about that many people here have advocated the overthrow of the US’s government. As I’ve pointed out above it is the justification for many to have guns so they can overthrow the government of the US if ‘needs’ must.

It made it illegal to advocate or teach such ideas or help disseminate them in any way also any group that the government didn’t like could be targeted and forced to give the names and address of its members and the FBI illegally was authorised to tap phones and mail open peoples mail.

This suppression was stepped up after the war, and to give an indication of the mentality of those in charge of the ‘un-American’ purge this is a quote from Albert Canwell who was chair of the California state committee –

“If someone insists there is discrimination against Negroes in this country, or that there is inequality of wealth, there is every reason to believe that person is a communist”

And when the House Committee for Un-American Activities dropped its investigation into the Klu Klux Klan in favour of going after the left wing the committee member John Rankin said that "After all, the KKK is an old American institution."


The thing was that many on the right supported and encouraged such treatment of the ‘socialist’ enemies, and given the hatred many on the right have toward supposed 'socialist' today, I believe many would be happy to have another such purge even today.
