Would you date a smoker?

it wouldn't matter as long as they don't use the excuse of nic fitting to be a jerk to me.

 

I prefer not too, yet I'm currently dating a smoker. He's very courteous about it though. In the car he makes sure the smoke goes out his window, in his home he smokes out the door or on the deck, and if we're outside he'll determine the direction the smoke is blowing and make sure to get on that side of me. Plus, after he smokes he always pops a mint or some gum in his mouth. If a guy was rude about his smoking habits I wouldn't date him. It's very difficult for me to breath around cigarette smoke, so a guy not willing to respect that can just move on.

 

That is the kind of smoker I am. In fact, I frequently wipe my face and hands after smoking to get rid of the smell...gum, never smoke inside, try to smoke less when with a non-smoker, and make sure the smoke doesn't go their way if I want to smoke. Peace.

 

Considering I go through phases of smoking... lol yes... but no smoking in the bedroom or my office or my van. Common areas of the house, minimal smoking is okay.

 

I only want to date someone who smokes weed, not cancer sticks. I used to smoke but then i met my fiancae, he asked me to quit because it was killing him and i so i did. Now i feel so much healthier and my teeth are getting whiter. I wouldnt care if the person i was with smoked but i would ask them to quit, its really gross and stinky, especially menthol cigarettes. Gross!

MOST DEF i would, i have before. i dated this guy who smoked also and wed exchange smoke through kissing it was HOT. other then that, i smoke as well and i dont mind the smell... so yah.

 

I've done that too. It IS hot! God, I miss her...but, wait, I think that was marijuana, actually. She'd smoke cigarettes off and on. More off than on.

Yes, I would, except if she's a chainsmoker. The nicotine shouldn't rule your life (which it does unconsciously with chainsmokers I guess). Sharing is only a plus. I don't get people who never even hands a cig out to a friend, that's just lame.

 

I'm actually surprised most people on this thread don't really give a crap about smoking. I probably mind smoking more than a lot of smokers!

 

I don't smoke but I guess it doesn't make a difference if I date someone who does. I think I'd prefer nonsmoker but it's not like it's a requirement.

I dig how the women with notorius smokers (Dylan and Kerouac) on their sigs don't mind smokers. But, I'm with you. It is kind of hot. I'd prefer the occasional smoker to the flat out addict, but, really, it doesn't matter much to me.

Oh, and Kerouac and Dylan were both quite sexy. Probably where my opinion roots :H

I can understand Kerouac (he's an attractive dude) but really William Burroughs is cooler than him, and he wasn't a smoker. And of course, Burroughs was the best writer of the bunch by a long shot.


Maybe I'm bisexual or something...lol.
