You really have no idea what you are talking about. It might sound like the south to a Canadian who has only seen things on tv.

What it boils down to in reality, is the area not the entire region. If it is a small, non progressive town there might be more stares and intolerance toward interracial couples. It doesn't matter if it is in georgia or pennsylvania.

On the flip side, urban, more progressive areas might offer more tolerance to such things.

I split my time between the washington DC area, and florida. Up here there are racially motivated gang wars, a lot of people I know have true hate for other races, beat them up, rob illegals since they can't contact the police etc. Foreign people rob white people for being white, jump them outside of bars, you name it. A lot of the most racist people are non white.

In florida everyone just chills, smokes weed and drinks together.

Thankfully, I will never have children, but my invisible child could marry anyone they wanted, hopefully it would be Alien and not human, but just as long as the person treated them great and they loved each other that's really all that matters....

Obviously if my daughter was truly in love with someone I wouldn't make a huge mess out of it.

But it is probably due to my background, it's just the way I feel. Its weird too because I am not racist and have a lot of friends outside of my race. The only thing I can think of it being is that growing up I lived near the hood and was always robbed, beat up, and harassed by black guys and other races. So maybe I associate it with that.

Either way I would be lying if I said it wouldn't bother me.

That is also just in theory. Chances are I would get to know the guy and like him a lot.

 

Whatever makes my children happy....as long as its not wreckless or self defacing....

 

I don't know if you were serious or not. I just wanted to point out that you are wrong, and obviously don't know what you are talking about since you are in Canada. I'm from the south, direct first hand experience wins.

not to mention, you reside in the north. (so should I then assume you have always resided in the north, based on present geographic location?), not to mention you still state you would have an issue to get over with your child bringing someone home of a different race. you dont add up, kiddo.
