Worst thing about the UK (and the worst thing about the entire world) = The amount of people in it.

 

In my opinion there are three reasons why "yob cultutre" is out of control.

1) BORDOM: kids in the UK are bored..... they have nothing to do or look forward to lets be honest... in New Zeland you can go swimming fishing roller blading ect ect all for free in the gorgeous weather

2) the government is too soft...children are not stupid... they know if they are under 18 in most circumstances considering most petty crimes they will get away with it...a slap on the wrists.... this needs to be changed.. the UK needs a whole separate legal system for under 18's. where i live and when i was very young...(i'm only 23 now!) the older kids used to get the younger children to break into shops ect for them as they knew the police could do nothing. when police did turn up it was "i'm gonna sue..your hurting my arm.. i'm gonna sue". police are terrifeid that they may end up on an assult charge themselves... these kids know the law and are not afraid to use it against law enforcers.

3) GUNS DONT KILL PEOPLE RAPPERS DO

all these "pop stars" (obviously not girls aloud) such as Eminen..50cent.....ect.. sing about how many hoe's they have and how much money they have from doing anything BUT working hard...these are The Beatles of this time and they are sending out the message to kids that (a) sell drugs/rob people and you'll be wealthy... (b) woman are lesser individuals used only for sex and booty shaking.... (c) working hard and paying tax is for loosers.(the joke is that kids that do follow these 3 rules are supported by people like us who do work... we pay for thier house, their TV liscence, their health cover.....without us the entire country would literally collapse!!)

If the government...police...whoever can address these three issues yob and gang culture may reduce. But who the hell is gonna take a stand againt the multi billion industry that is pop/rap music??

Agreed. And people, Nottingham is very bad. I'm pretty worried right now because about half hour or an hour ago some guys threatened to shoot my friend in the head unless he found his brother for them. He did, but I think he got away, but apparantly they all were chasing him and had a knife and whatnot. Its fucked.

 

Nottingham has become a no go area. The City is notorious of gun crime. This is like a little America. I am sure that once the sun goes down, shop keepers make sure they batton down the hatches for potential bullets going through a shop window or a burgulary.

Nottingham has been dubbed as Shottingham. Though we can play on words, the serious gun culture in Nottingham is a sign that things have gone totally wrong indeed. This City is probably has the worst gun culture in Europe and that is saying something.

I know of a Nottingham steeped in history and many many fine things. NOw in the 21st Century, the city has been marred by violence on a gigantic scale. Even our laws are no match for advance gangs.

 

Yeah, I live here and always have done & personally have never really been victimised by violence, threats & the like(except for a few times, but I've never been hurt) and not witnessed too much of the darker side of this city. I have known many people who have, including my stepdad, friends and very recently stepdads friend got a complete random battering in a chip shop. Like you say it is very, very bad. I've heard the Shottingham thing multiple times, & fools actually brag about the label. My friend & his bro are now safe, so I feel a little better.

Public transport. Never arrives on time. So many excuses from leaves on the line to hard rain. Also I hate when the train slows right down. Take London Bridge station, you wait nearly half an hour simply to get into station.This is due to too many trains that had run late so a giant backlog of trains appears waiting to be ushered into a platform.


Ticket prices in London are very expensive and so is going to the cinema in the west end. With ticket prices over a tenner

 

The UK in general is just way too expensive and we get taxed on everything.
