While I disapprove of Biden's presidency there are far worse examples to choose from. That may be why he is not included in the list, but you can always speak your mind here and vote however you wish.

Freedom of choice, such a double-edged sword!

Do the Rich Pay Their Fair Share of Taxes? | Progressivity & Redistribution
Internal Revenue Service (IRS) data indicates that the wealthy in America are bearing the heaviest share of the income tax burden than in any time in recent memory. On the other hand, more than 53 million low- and middle-income taxpayers pay no income taxes after benefiting from record amounts of tax credits, and six out of 10 households receive more in direct government benefits than they pay in all federal taxes.

I do believe I stated that the wealthy in America are bearing the heaviest share of the income tax. However, they can afford it.
The fact that those 53 million have no tax liability is due to the fact that they have a hard time making ends meet.

I agree 100%. I generally don't make longwinded posts, short and to the point. But the list of why Biden was bad is lengthy.

I was thinking of your statement: "I am fairly certain if I felt like investing the time (I Don't) it took about 2 seconds to come up with my previous post , I could continue to argue my point which admittedly I lost track of because all I am doing is playing devil's advocate to your assertions, as I stated previously FACTS change very little is absolute." Sounded to me like a word salad of an excuse to defend not defending your previous post when challenged. Worthy of the Donald, J.D. Vance, Pete Hegseth, or a school kid explaining that the dog ate his homework. But maybe you really are just godawful lazy. In which case, I wonder why you bother to post at all. But I'm glad you do, and I like you anyway. Namaste

You do fit the role. But we have so many other misinformed twerps doing it here now, who seem actually sincere about it.

I thought you said that: "I like to play devil's advocate." A Devil's Advocate (Advocatus Diaboli), by definition, may be dedicated to his job, but the job entails expressing one-sided, contentious opinions against an accepted view, whether or not (s)he believes in them. I like to express opinions I think are meritorius. What does length of tenure on HF have to do with it?

Gotta disagree with you on this one Wrat1. I believe you have the roll of Devels Advocate reversed.

Biden had "seniority", too. Sometimes those who get too senior can get a little confused and cantankerous. That DeviI's Advocacy stuff shouldn't be taken too literally. In the original context of canonizing saints it made sense to challenge their saintly credentials. Here on HF, I doubt that any of us are up for sainthood, and challenging people who are putting forward sound arguments just for the sake of doing it might be literally championing the forces of Darkness.

Biden isn't on the list because this thread was started almost 20 years ago.

Every president has done stupid things. As Shakespeare said "The evil that men do lives after them; The good is oft interrèd with their bones”.

Nixon, for example. Oh he was horrible because of Watergate and had to resign. That's what most people remember. Most don't remember that he opened up relations with China and that was hailed as a tremendous success.

Every president is the same. Sometimes the real reason a president does something is forgotten about. Lincoln is credited with freeing the slaves. but that was strictly a by product of why we had the Civil War
Lincoln was determined to keep the United States united and was willing to go to war to do it.

Most people choose the worst president based on their own political beliefs and not the facts.
