Ironically despite now currently having a black president, Africa was in fact probably the one place in the world where Bush was loved

Reagan was the beginning of the end in my opinion. He put the free market on a pedestal, intruded upon civilians rights to strike and was an all around tool.

Fuck America compared to what? Europe? Yeah, they're in for a freakin awesome time in about 20 years when all their baby boomers retire, and despite trying to preach moral superiority, they're so xenophobic about letting in immigrants that they're economics are doomed.

Reagan may well have been the beginning of the end, but Obama/Emanual have brought us back to the path to the end. A free market only exists in a free society, and reverse is also true.

Should the military also have a right to strike? The military is no more than civilians in the employ of the government, sort of like air traffic controllers.

I can't answer this poll because Barack Obama isn't one of the choices. The fact George Bush leads this poll shows it's simply an emotional response. Jimmy Carter almost ruined our economy. I guess your all to young to know anything about that. Facts are stubborn things.

why don't you leave? Free Market is why America became, and remains a superpower. Perhaps you should move to Cuba.

So I guess it is fine to send a soldier to prison because he decides that he is participating in a foolish act of violence and wants to put the gun down. Seems like in a free market free will can be put on the back burner.

I find it funny that people think if economics fail then life its self is over. People would still eat and sleep and make a way for themselves. So what if you can't get to London right this very moment. Should the people getting you there not be happy with their current situation? That is why regular people get caught up in acts of hatred, because they are backed into corners.

Another thing, how is Obama even in the running as worst president? He hasn't even fully served one term. I am wondering if the people defending GW Bush also think that people shouldn't have a choice on not having to rely on an insurance company to get health care.

He shouldn't have joined the military, that is all.

    Main Entry: su·per·pow·er
    Pronunciation: \ˈsü-pər-ˌpau̇(-ə)r\
    Function: noun
    Date: 1920
1 : excessive or superior power
2 a : an extremely powerful nation; specifically : one of a very few dominant states in an era when the world is divided politically into these states and their satellites b : an international governing body able to enforce its will upon the most powerful states

The United States has more certainly been one of the dominant states of the past 130 years

In that military service is a choice, since the draft has been eliminated, those who join are duty bound to follow orders and subject to appropriate punishment for failure to do so. A free society does not mean everyone has absolute unrestrained freedoms, but only those within the laws. Occupations such as the military, police, and air traffic controllers have a responsibility to provide and protect the safety of others, and as such cannot just go on strike whenever they feel like it. Of course they can if they are willing to face the punishment for doing so, loss of job, court martial, or possibly jail sentence, depending on the circumstance.
A free market should allow an employer the freedom to replace non-performing employees, but unions often make that difficult, if not impossible.

Most all developed countries rely on an economic system in order for their inhabitants to acquire the necessities of life. Life for many persons would become extremely difficult if the economic system they use was to collapse completely. In many cases there would be no food available, and without some form of currency purchases would depend on the ability to barter, assuming you had something of value to barter with.

I'm not defending Bush, but Obama has accomplished more destruction in less than one year than any previous President in the nations history, and appears intent on continuing on as rapid a path of destruction as possible.

No one has to rely on Health Insurance. I don't. I have it, but seldom have made use of it. You can always pay as you go, and I've often found it easier to do so, and less expensive. Medical care, like everything else in life, should be available based on ones ability to pay. Work harder, earn more money, and you will find many things previously unavailable will become available.

Take responsibility for your self. That's what is called becoming an adult. The world is becoming overpopulated with decades old children. If you want or need my help, provide a good or service that I might find valuable, and perhaps you can sell it to me or others. That's how a free market works.

If you're really down and out, I might give a handout or two, but I reserve the right to say when enough is enough, and demand you and others like you simply get off your asses and provide for your own needs.

If hunger, and poor health care, and various other needs or desires are not motivation enough to make you responsible for your self, they certainly should not motivate me to provide them for you.

To me it makes more sense to provide an additional month of life to one elderly retired taxpayer than it would to add decades to the life of one or even a number of societal leeches. Society prospers as a form of "give and take", and can be easily destroyed as the number of those who only "take" increases beyond what the rest of the society can afford to care for. I think we might begin to call this "Obama care."

Actually it was tricky Dick Nixon that started the war on drugs, but Ronnie Raygun is a good choice for escalating it.

In the past the US didn't give you much of a choice in the matter. ;)
