    That is absolutely insane! I can't, for the life of me, understand why someone in their right mind would be offended by a PEACE sign on a wreathe! Ridiculous!

    today's news: HOA backed down and apologized. Now, Pagosa Springs has a peace sign ON THE WATER TOWER!

    the couple involved are not residents of PS, proper but a subdivision outside. PS town hall got tired of people thinking PS was against peace.
    Lots of the wreaths all over town, too.
    Power to the Peaceful!

    where people got the idea that a peace sign was satanic is beyond me....the peace sign is a combination of two flag signs....one's a vertical line and the other an upside down V.....it means "Nuclear Disarmament" and eventually became the "peace sign". It was conceptualized back in the 50s

    Some people have said it resembles a "broken cross", sign of the antichrist. The broken cross was reportedly what Saint Peter was crucified on, upside down.

    Ahaha Maggie Sugar...I definitely have that "Hippies use side door" sign lying on the floor of my bedroom.......

    Anyway. That's pretty fucking absurd...I mean even if it WAS a symbol of Satan...why the hell would you care?????

    Don't some people's kids have anything better to do? Why harrass someone for putting up a peace wreath at Christmas?

    I'm willing to bet that the people who have "sons in Iraq" would just love it if the war ended and their sons came home for the holidays. That would be a time of PEACE, which is what I thought the wreath could signify.

    As far as associating the wreath to Satan, I think that people simply have their heads in the wrong places, to put it politely.
