And considering where this is located, hippy.com, no one of the 60's would say short hair is preferable to long locks....Just the way we rolled em....;-D
Look at this beautiful fashion model from India. Love the dress she is wearing and her sleek, stylish look. She is beautiful! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YmZPRG4xjSQ"]Bald indian model diandra
See, I've never been a fan of that type of face with a bald head. That classic, egyptian-bust looking face; when they have that kinda face and go with a shaved head, they always remind me of easter island, or an alien woman in a sci fi movie.
Bald Monique, that woman fashion model from India is gorgeous. She does wear the bald look well. Pretty face, shapely slender body, beautifully shaped head for the bald look, pretty dresses, she is a beautiful lady.
Monique, please stop... No offecne, but you're really not making short haired ladies look good in the least.... They CAN, for sure, but that one looks like a space alien, like duck said.
i dont give a mother fuck what anyone says, this woman is BEAUTIFUL [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctaFP8DQ5W8 i really like short hair/next to no hair on women who can pull it off
I forgot I made this thread. I ended up cutting my hair short. I didn't brush it or anything in this picture. It's super short and there's one strand of hair that goes a little longer after my side bangs. I don't think hippies have to have long hair. After all women are often told that they have to have long hair to be sexy. So cutting it all off can be a way to free yourself from a role. It was fun haha. View attachment 46683
Counter-culture only makes more roles to conform to. And a sad excuse. You don't need to be going for or against any culture to wear your hair how you want. Your culture might stand for your right to do what you want, but when you have to cite your culture as a reason or excuse to do what you want, you're as much a prisoner of that culture as the people who belong to the other culture. Cut your hair if you please, but don't make excuses. It looks just fine, and that has nothing to do with conforming or not conforming.
I've been thinking about cutting my hair in a chin length bob with bangs like this but I don't know if I could pull it off. my long hair is pretty low maintenance, all I have to do is wash it and it naturally dries in waves with a lot of body. I would probably have to straighten my hair every day with this hairstyle, but I love how sleek and sophisticated it is.
I didn't say that I did it for those reasons. I was just explaining why some women might want to. I cut my hair because I wanted a change.
I think women are more often told that they have to cut their hair short in order to be "empowered", or not "objectified by male-dominated patriarchal society", or that somehow they'll be more sophiticated that way, or some other horseshit. So I don't buy the "short-hair = liberation" argument
I read somewhere a long time ago (I can't verify this for truth mind you), that the main reason it is a common norm of many global civilizations for MEN to have shorter hair which doesn't extend very far beyond the ears, is because it proved to be a better defense mechanism on the battlefields of ancient times. When you have short hair, your enemy is much less likely to grab onto it, maim and execute you.
That is no longer relevant in our society. So everyone should have their hair exactly the way they want it! Although, I am growing out my hair specifically to please my boyfriend and not myself, so I guess I am not one to talk.
I know that when I cut my hair off people constantly asked me if I was a man-hating lesbian. It was pretty fucking annoying and made me hate society.
Are you, by any chance, a man hating lesbian? No reason or anything..... I mean, you did cu-... nevermind, just wondering... ....So... You hate men, then?
