Hmm, interesting. I wasn't aware of those tribes. (That said, I am not a "womyn should rule the earth" beleiver. I think government should be run by capable people of both sexes.) FTR. I am an American, and I don't blame Sadaam Hussain for much. Being a terrible dictator in his own country and torturing people. yeah. But I don't blame him for ANY of America's problems or for 9/11. Actually a lot of Americans know he really didn't have anything to do with 9/11 or any other "terrorist" problems in the USA.
I am an American too and with the observation of the attitude of my friends toward muslims, I do think that most americans scapegoat Islam for every single problem after 9/11.
Yes Iraq. I hear alot of comments that go like this : "maybe a small nuke in the arab world is what they need" .
Sorry dude, I hang out with the "conservative" side, totally right wing if you ask me, but anyway its all good- unless one of them gets elected president... then its a problem. But I agree, most Americans don't think that... when i referred to americans , I meant 'few' , I needed to specify that.
Why wouldn't it be true? There have ALWAYS been female leads in different societies. There's no reason why there wouldn't be now. Sure, it isn't happening in Britain or France, but it's happening. As to the Native American bit... there were tribes that had the elders of the village, who were normally women, sit on the war councils because they were wise. I didn't say they were chiefs, but, even the chief had to ask for the war council's permission before waging war. The only SPECIFIC group that I can recall are the Cherokee indians, but I've heard of it in relation to other tribes as well.
