The thing I'm trying to say is, I hate when people tell me I HAVE to shave. Women HAVE to shave and men DON'T HAVE to shave. Make yourself bare if you want, fine by me (Though I find complete bareness creepy) just don't come running after me with a razor. *Imagines a mob with razor's and cream*
yeah, i really don't like it when people tell me what to do, what i should do, why i should or should not do it. it's just hair. if you want hair, keep it. if you don't want hair, get rid of it. both are completely natural styles of personal expression.
thats why i dont religiously shave my legs every 2 days - i dont like feeling like society wants me to do it, so in a way i suppose i rebel. i know my female friends are grossed out by my lack of leg shaving, but fuck 'em. my choice =]
i shave my armpits, because i do feel more feminine but i use VEET on my legs, it makes my hair soft, and the cream burns it off and when it grows back its barely noticeable (its blonde too). Down there however, i shave sometimes but i mostly trim. Can't leave a firepatch unnoticed in my opinion... and also I think a girl who is hairless down there looks like she hasn't hit puberty yet. I like when guys trim. I dislike it when guys shave down there, but then again, I think natural is the most beautiful thing... !
My fiancee wants me hairy. More often I oblige. I have little tufts of hair on top of my toes. My pubic area is also hairy. Stubble of armpit hair as well (which he loves to lick!). I use Veet on my legs.
I am surprised! I always assumed guys thought it was cleaner to be shaven. I've seen a lot of guys on here that don't mind it, or are even turned on by it. heh go figure.
I'm surprised in the other direction. I expected Hipforums to be the place for people who remember the hippies, or for people who want to keep the spirit of the hippies alive. And in the modern world, you might say that involves respecting humans as a part of nature, trying to avoid factory-made products, and cheerfully breaking every social convention in sight. Yet what we see on these threads about shaving is people eager to do what Mommy and Cosmopolitan magazine tell them to do! Where are the rebels, or if not the outright rebels, where are the quietly disobedient ones? But yes, when women do quit shaving, it turns out that there are plenty of men who don't mind, or who even enjoy the natural fur. (Not that men have any right to dictate, of course.)
read this whole thread heres my opinion only. I am a older guy hair is hair do with it what YOU want doesn't bother me except. I am old now remember this. I think hair on genitals is the right thing its more womanly. TO ME. but it would be my partners choice
Oh please. So if a girl shaves her legs or whatever it immediately means she's a conformist and oh so trendy ? And if she doesn't, she's a hardcore cool rebel. Some hippy you are....Stereotypical and lame. Shaving is everyone's personal choice and it does not reflect your character or personality.
I think Piaf saw the point just fine, and I completely agree with her assesment. As for women and shaving, let them do as they please. Many guys are going to be turned off massively if legs & pits are unshaved, but I'm sure these women wouldn't care. Personally I would not go near a girl without at least shaven pits and legs.
