what are yiu talking about? this is the way hairs naturaly meant to be what the hell did you do to yours to get it look like that? then ctinge in disgust and walk away
The one I always use and shuts them up instantly is "I have them because I don't want to have boring, common hair like you and everyone else". I then normally follow it through with "I should actually take this opportunity to thank you as its people like you that are a constant reminder to me why I decided to grow my hair long and get dreads".
I usually dont feel that I have to "win" by saying something back that's better what they had. Why would you want to fall to their level anyway =D I get a fair amount of shit from time to time, mainly not 'cause i have dreads (happens too though) but cause I have dreads that aren't waxed and looking stereotypically neat. that reminded me of a few days ago when a friend(ish) told me that my hair is greasy, I responded that my hair is not greasy, he said ok ok waxy whatever, so i said touch them dude, he did and you should've seen the look on his face. People just dont understand how hair can be like that sometimes heh. wherever i go i constantly get asked for weed or if im high, totally amuses me usually with shitty comments i just tend to smile/laugh and go like "and..?" and at that point you can tell what kind of person they are. some just ask/comment more about them and some kinda try to back out of it since they realize they're being an ass, i always just stay positive and smiling though. hasn't gotten worse than that. if their shit enough to come ot with something like that theyre already serving their punishment and you have already "won" if you wanna put things that way so learning how to let it go and not make things worse is the way to go, puppets like that don't deserve more attention than that if they're like that.
well you've got such a cute face and your dreads are nice and the tat in your pic is very cool. and brittish accents are hot, i like it when brittish guys say battery. and bucket. and a bit of crumpet haha
you'll end up driving me crazy lol here's a thought related to the thread topic... so far only 2 people have said something negative about my dreads, and these two people i know happen to have problems like low self esteem, issues with anger management, don't have their lives together/have alot of personal problems and don't know how to behave socially at all. there was one other person who doesn't like dreads, but she told me so in a very polite and socially acceptable way- this person is more mentally stable, and intelligent. so when someone is rude to you about your dreads, just remember that this person probably already has a bad life and you don't really need to punish them with a comeback.
