Abbott tests positive for COVID-19 breakthrough infection

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, his office announced.

The governor's office said it got the positive result after Abbott, who is fully vaccinated, underwent his routine daily testing. He is currently asymptomatic, but is receiving Regeneron's monoclonal antibody treatment,
which is the same regimen former President Trump was given when he tested positive COVID-19 in October.

Question: If he's asymptomatic why is he on Regeneron?

I'm curious as to how vaccinated people are to blame for the Delta surge. But with so many people clinging to conspiracy theories these days it's no big surprise they'd come up with something like that. And it doesn't help that people like Marjorie Taylor Greene are saying that the vaccine isn't very effective. It doesn't matter that 99% of new covid deaths are among the unvaccinated, she and they believe that if you can catch covid after getting the shots then it's ineffective. It also doesn't matter that the vast majority of the vaccinated who catch the Delta variant have mild or no symptoms, if you can still catch covid then the vaccine is ineffective. This is the rigid mindset we have to deal with.

A Jacksonville mother is now urging people to get vaccinated after the tragic loss of her two sons to COVID-19

Lisa Brandon's two sons Aaron and Free Jaggi, 35 and 41, died only 12 hours apart on August 12 and 13. They contracted the virus and double pneumonia, and died 12 days after being admitted to the hospital. Free was reportedly put in a medically induced coma to help him with his symptoms.

Neither was vaccinated. Brandon and her sons lived on the south side of Jacksonville and said 'everyone got sick in late July.'

Unfortunately, the two men got severe cases and when she took them to the hospital, both were admitted to the ICU and put on ventilators.
