only one problem with that pic, it shows Trump with only wealthy, famous black men, so it really doesn't touch at all on the targets he has declared, Mexicans and Muslims, nor does it address his gross misogynistic attitudes.

What I find amusing is how folks are straining to find excuse and justification for his asinine remarks and actions as illustrated by your post.
The only message I get from that poster is that Trump is ok with famous wealthy black men, and I'm sure every one of those pics had some kind of monetary gain for Trump involved.

Naaa, I'm over Trump's loud mouth, I just think all the crap that has come in his wake is quite hilarious. And really, it's more likely the people he's posing with were the beneficiaries of his efforts, not the other way around. I saw an interesting article way off the beaten path about Mrs. King praising Beauregard Sessions for a Rosa Parks library, oh the horror. However, I don't think this "crushes" Warren's efforts because I didn't put stock in her before. She's as fake as Shaun King (AKA #TalcumX ) and used dubious claims of native heritage for a fat dose of white privilege.

I'm not trying to make a serious argument for Trump here, I'm just pointing out the hilarious hypocrisy on both sides. For all intents it seems like Trump didn't become a "racist" or "Hitler" until he questioned Obama, a rookie who was nowhere near as qualified as Hillary when he magically won the democratic primary. McCain would have lost to Hillary just as quickly, but the democrats had a hankering to "make history" that was nauseatingly transparent.

And before someone gets the wrong idea, I'm not a "birther" (or any other stupidly cute name like that). Obama's mother was an American, so it was a non-issue all along regardless of where he was born. If the Bush family's creepy CIA connections couldn't dig up dirt on Obama to get McCain pushed into the white house, how the hell did Trump think he could find anything? Maybe his creepy casino/mob connections?

 

It was all about money back then and it is all about money now. Bringing in race just makes you look like you are trying to dismiss what it is really about.

 

Again more yawn-worthy lists of boring stuff. Where is this stuff even quoted from? Have you no actual opinion of your own or must you parrot obscure sources? It's dull, D-U-L-L.

 

See? That's SO much better than having to follow a bunch of links. Why should I have to leave Hip Forums to read a point that's not actually yours? That's almost as dull as that inane "scorecard" that was interesting until it became sheer monotony, around #22 for me. George lasted a bit longer.

I'm also not very interested in any claims of "racism" these days. Most are dubious and usually code for "ALL white people are racists" which is itself racist. It's a pointless circular array of varied interpretations of course, but it all seems to lead right back to the "acceptable" assignment of everything horrible onto a single race of people. And really isn't ANY criticism of a black person by a white person instantly assumed to be racist? Of course it is, which is why it's hard to take such claims seriously. The card is worn and frayed from so much overuse and outright abuse.

The daily speculation about Trump/white/conservative/christian bias (and of course racism) only serves to remind me of why the democrats have been losing so badly since the 2010 midterms. Labeling and ridiculing over half of the electorate is meant to have what effect? I sure don't know. I also fail to understand how holding up a fist while reaching out for government freebies is supposed to work. But what do I know, I'm just an "old white man", so I am clearly resting on easy street while my butler (black of course) fetches me another mint julep as I plot the destruction of his entire race.

Anyway, I see no reason to converse with you, it's always the same, surely it must bore you to tears as well. Unless you actually like that sort of thing.

So Mr. Trump expressed a moral equivalence with Vlad Putin's Russia. When the assaination of opposition figures was introduced, Trump stated that America has killers too.

As someone who lives and works among Trump supporters, this seems to be exactly the case--at least for the ones I know. Except most of them don't get the news directly from any real media source, and pride themselves on that. They may get a glimpse of the headlines but more often read stuff their friends send them via email or social media. Those who watch the news watch Fox. They come over to my house for bull sessions, but if the conversation turns to politics a couple of them simply go to sleep, and others get so heated about it I change the subject. This is what opinion leaders call "rational ignorance". They've, consciously or unconsciously, made a decision to tune it all out and get on with their lives. Sometimes I wish I could do that. Maybe ignorance really is bliss.

I've been fascinated with the sources Trump supporters post links to on this Forum: Breitbart, of course; InfoWars; RT (Russia Today), a propaganda vehicle for Putin and the Russian state; TruePundit, which circulated the Pizzagate story about Hillary, etc. People who rely on these sources are essentially living in an alternate reality bubble.

 

My brother in law and my mom have been debating in social media a bit..well, my bro in law has been trash talking anyone who goes against Trump (crybabies, snowflakes, the usual stupidity) and my mom has been trying to share factual information with him.

The other day he admitted he has only been paying attention to the "toddlers throwing tantrums," actually distracted by them is how he put it, and has no idea what Trump has been doing since taking office. And thats basically what I see from other Trump supporters in person and on the internet, they're completely content to be willfully ignorant.

 

Because it is just hatred of the left that is spurring them on...nothing else....
