God is not busy shaping or intervening in our world/life. But the influence of God's creation goes on by action - reaction and so is still going strong.

God is the Universe. The macrouniverse has always been infinite and eternal, and has always been there, no beginning, no end. This "higher being" is a complete conscious that indwells us with spirit. I dont know about the big bang creating this universe or whatever, maybe whatever our universe exists in is really a grand universe.

I take issue with the first sentence, I think it's kind of a feeble retreat to latch onto the term universe and use it synonmously with God. You kind of explain yourself better in following points but the concepts of God require a 'higher being' which possesses qualities which go beyond the scope of the universe.

I am not sure why in general people like to lay all the bad at gods feet but rarely the good. ;)

Could the entire universe which is a huge system be conscious, and all of our consciousnesses and of every other conscious entity in the universe be a part of this larger conscious?

The universe could "think", and make decisions. When we make decisions our brain does not break any laws of physics, so the universe could also make decisions to influence things without breaking laws of physics..

Our conscious minds would be like the lowest level of of the universe's subconscious mind.

if the universe is explained in human terms and definitions. it might not even be the universe at all.

Because there are qualities that religious people often prescribe to their God turning a blind eye to that which contradicts God's assumed qualities and usually the bad provide examples which show the contradictions in human experience.

The op has actually included activities which many would deem good as well.

I understand it but I don't see it that way AT ALL myself. I must say I always like it when I see others don't see the point in that either :)

    You sure about that?
By what criteria are you making that statement?

From where I sit, it would seem that if there is a God, he/she/it is constantly busy shaping and interacting.

What has happened --is done. What is happening --is happening constantly. What will happen--will happen. We have had no influence on the past of the cosmos. We have no influence on the cosmos now. We will not have any influence in the future. But we, as sentient/biological inhabitants of our little corner of the vastness of being, have continued to hypothesize reasons for gods to exist,( be scared, now--or get yourself some everlasting life) --reasons why they exist, why and how strict adherence of "god-rules" (guaranteed, no less), to "live" past physical death-- this feat being accomplished according to statements attributed to selfsame gods. I believe we're mere observers of our extremely short biological existences. We know what we know because of our observations of the natural state of our being, through what is called science and no more. I have always found it very difficult to believe that a REAL AND ALL POWERFUL DEITY would allow the observable horrors that exist within the world of human interaction. The god-beliefs are strong enough in some adherents, that the mere questioning of them may cause one to cease to exist--as in murdered. We're an odd bunch, I think.

Why is there so many stupid things about this world though? It sucks!
You see, we constantly work to make this world not stupid. We think, plan, and organize our world by building highways, stocking shelves in the store, we put all our food and stuff in cans, we create money as a medium of exchange, we build computers, develop medicince, build houses(by planning, designing, measuring, choosing materials)

We basically do everything to make the world "not dumb" anymore. Like.. if you read chemistry theres this thing called "entropy" where every natural process(stone falling, ball rolling downhill, chemical reaction) creates more randomness. Nature will always do something stupid. But... We do the opposite, instead of everything being scattered all over the place in random ways like it is on all the other planets, we create order. We are crippled without order too... you can't drive very well or for very long without decent highways, and roads. Thats why if we didnt have them, but we had cars we still wouldnt be able to use the cars.
Heres whats strange though... It seems we are smart and orderly and all, but our brain and body's cells are all just reacting and creating entropy.... So what the hell?

I actually completely disagree with this. I think there is a perfect order to nature. Humans think we can somehow perfect what is already perfect and create disorder and stupid stupid madness in our quest for perfection and order.

    Which is more likely,
    reality is fucked up
    or
    do we misapprehend reality?

It is true we humans try to find order in everything and if we do not find it we (try to) balance it. I don't see this as something stupid or going against nature by default.
It seems Coleco is mixing things up: As we technologicallly evolve we see and want more opportunities. That is why we built better highways after we invented the car, not because we find nature stupid or something. We saw the opportunity to use cars better and so we did lay concrete and asphalt tracks all over the world :p
Just because we can also look at it like 'we don't have to go anywhere that fast, what are we doing to our surroundings' etc. doesn't mean either path is especially stupid or smart. After all, we weren't consciously altering reality with the idea that we misapprehend it so it must be fixed ;) we are simply comforming reality to our preferences, same with termites, ants, beavers for example!

Every time I look in another persons eyes, or watch a sunset or sunrise, or feel my own heart beating.
Simply just experiencing life tells me that someone or something is still at the tiller guiding the ship.
The more I delve into the sciences, the more compelled I am.

I don't understand how you don't see it.
