So why were they allowed to shut down the discussion here? I see them over at HuffPo, but I don't think we are going to allow them to control the dialogue there, we demand that they reference their attacks.

And I do think they sought out the lefy places and here at Hip Forums they were allowed to drownd out the other voices. I know I got tired of the constant arguments. I came here as an old hippy looking for a place to related to other old hippies. What I found was a place where I always had to be on my guard. It's not worth my while. I meet very few similar thinking friends. I found myself constantly arguing. And I have to tell you it got pretty tiring during 8 years of GW and the war on Iraq and Afghanastan. Two countries that weren't represented on the planes when the twin towers were attacked. But were nevertheless made scapegoats.

I am not interested in constantly being on the defensive. I came here to meet other hippies not defend my viewpoints to the marketting consultants that are employed against my interests. I am tired of providing them free material.

Gardener, do you get grief through out the forum...or just in the politics forum?
If you go into any political forum, regardless of the general sway of the posters, you'll get some grief.
I get it too and I'm diametrically different than you.
I hang out in more jovial forums here if I want to have fun and relax, and not have my thoughts scrutinised/mocked or mad people accusing me of all manner of things.
Trust me, you have an easy life around here, IMHO.

I can't remember you posting anywhere else but the politics forums, tbh.
A quick check points towards you have, though.

You have been here 6 years, garnered no friends.
99% of your posts are within the politics forum.
You could have started your own little forum here and made your own ground rules...and gained lots of friends etc etc.
These three points suggest to me...you're being slightly disingenuous.

If you are not constantly wanting to be on the defensive..why say things like this even within this thread?:

"And I have to tell you it got pretty tiring during 8 years of GW and the war on Iraq and Afghanastan. Two countries that weren't represented on the planes when the twin towers were attacked. But were nevertheless made scapegoats."

    I know.

A quick check points towards you have, though.

99% of your posts are within the politics forum.

If you missed that, then I'll repeat this:
Trust me, you have an easy life around here, IMHO.
    ...you're being slightly disingenuous.

If I could still log in under that name I would, but I can't.
My email became defunct...and, well it was just too much effort.
    So I became "odon"...
    It's not a conspiracy, guy.
