Why I Oppose Tattoos

well voided - i didn't say you had to get a tattoo. i just don't think you appreciate how hard a good artist has to work to become a good artist, and therefore deserves a certain monetary reward. any good tradesman deserves to be paid for thier skill & knowledge - do you disagree with that? that's all i was pointing out - i didn't figure i'd change your decision not to get tattoos, nor was i trying to. to each his own - for me, i love tattoos, my husband is quite tattooed, he is a tattoo artist & i his apprentice & canvas...

and he'll tat your ass anytime you're brave enough - don't even insult me like that, there's no need to get nasty

I got my tattoo last year, in the summer. I've always wanted a tattoo since I was like 13, because I like them.. but never got it, until it felt right. Then last year, I went into the place, it took me hours to find the right one.. no indecision, just the one that connected with me.. and then there it was, a symbol that meant balance... balance is my keyword to life. So there I got it.. and I knew I wouldnt regret it. Everyday I like it more.. because I discover new things about why I got it t he moment I did, it was the first time in which I really was being me, independent, enjoying life.. it's a reminder on who I was (still am, but that can change in any moment). My tattoo is there so I dont forget me, and the things I once believed in.
I think everyone is free to do with their bodies anything they want, I know many people do those kind of things to be "cool" .. as a trend, and those are the people that in the long run usually regret it. But still it's their choice.

I like to see the odd nicley placed tat, but not all over the body, but at the end off the day everybody as a right to decide if he/she wants one. they live with it.

I got a tatoo when I was 18 years old. I just wanted a tatoo, I made the appt. before I even had a design in mind. The day of the appt. I found my future tat. on the cover of a "Sandman" comic book. I went and got it, and guess what, its still there

I had no high ideals to stand for, or meaningful event to remember. I just went and got inked for the sake of being inked.

I thought about it quite a bit before I made the decision though, and I still stand by that dicision 12 years later. (even if I may not be crazy about the tatoo itself, 18 year olds... sheesh )

 

I just do not see why tatoos are good... I agree with that the human body...SKIN is beautiful... It is a sin to ruin it with an "inkblot"
And anyway it is so common
