sure, lets get heated. It's way more fun than talking about who's cock is too small or why people break up
I read the conversation, and it was barely interesting, especially since no one is willing to take the time to reply seriously to one of Lunarverse's dumb comments. What's wrong with rants? Nothing if they're not stupid.
Yes, that is right. The proper channels, not my problem. I actually am unemployed right now, so I don't have money coming in. I never have been really flush. So I'm not that willing to give money out. But I'll donate to a charity that provides beds, food or healthcare for the homeless. But not give them money on the street. Do the proper channels work? Well, I don't think so. There needs to be reform. But that is still a better option than letting them beg on the street. Why is this a joke?
My bad, Luna..I think more than once I referred to you as a 'She' sorry about that =D Anyway, about the respect...In my experience with online discussions, If I'm not a jerk, people won't act jerkish to me. But then there are people like Rollingalong, that in my mind, don't really bring anything to the conversation anyway.
wish you spoke up sooner. Had I known they weren't replying seriously I wouldn't have bother so much. How do you feel about the homeless?
I did listen to what you were saying later. All of what you were saying. Honest. I just think you wanted to talk about the bums you didn't like...rather than the bigger issue of homelessness.
its a joke because you actually think the 'proper channels' have the means to help but the lazy people wont accept the help offered...and mental institutions..you have no fuckin clue what happens at a mental institution or with mental illness or youu wouldnt have said it like you did...you wear your ignorance on this subject like a badge of honor,,,good on'ya
Tell you what...why doesn't everybody just type what they think of the homeless, I'll comment at the end.
They were replying seriously, they would have put more efforts into their replies if it was someone other than you posting the arguments though. Here is a serious reply for you: I am in no position to judge the homeless. I have no idea where they come from and what has led to them living in such a condition. The fact that you allow yourself to judge them isn't only disgusting, but also shows how insecure you really are. You are lucky to be in a position where you have money (and it's hard for me to believe that you've actually earned it). What the fuck gives you the right to judge these people in any way, shape, or form? On a separate note... I would never give a homeless person money. I do not feel like I'm helping them that way. I'd give them candy though, or maybe a job.
That's why I said there needs to be reform. It can be made to work. No, I don't know what happens at mental institutions, but I know they are not nice. Anyways, what is your solution. Continue to give them money so they can live on the street and drink mad dog 20 20 and smoke crack? What a fucking joke. It is noble of you to give what you can, especially in Ottawa. God I would hate to be homeless in Ottawa. I grew up in Miami, and now live in TN, so I don't know what it is like to be bitterly cold that long. So, it's noble, but I think misguided, of you to give so much.
It started out this way, but took off. Anyways, If more answers had been articulated this way things may not have gone so far.
What a good idea. Most homeless people I have met are stuck in a rut. The longer they are in that rut the harder that rut becomes to get out of because the deeper it becomes. My friend did have certain issues, I won't sugar coat that. But, she did still want to get herself out of the predicament she found herself in. Because of her, I don't look at people on the streets with any distain...even if they are rolling around drunk. I wouldn't reallly hand over money to those types of people...but you can tell if people are genuinly in need of food...and not going to spend it on drink. So, I guess I have empathy for the homeless...I know how quickly it can come about and how difficult it is to get out of. You were very lucky, lunar.
