It is believed by some that the prophecies of the Old and New Testaments have already taken place. Yet even a quick read of some of the basic prophecies will show the flaw in this belief. The events spoken in most of these prophecies are so literally earth shaking, that it is doubtful that history could of over look these events. When the Bible speaks about an earthquake so powerful, that the mountains of the earth will be leveled, and the islands of the sea will disappear, well then, this is an event that is still in the future. The only way one could hold this position, is simply to ignore most of the prophecies stated, and to try and force fit past events of history into a text that will not support it.
You're wrong again campbell. "In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps." "A man's steps are directed by the LORD. How then can anyone understand his own way?" What has deceived man is ignorance and his own uncaring heart, not a ficticious character created to blame for man's own ignorant, uncaring heart. Believing the lie (Satan) covers up your sins in your own eyes- this is but a temporary pain reliever that masks what you are doing to God (but only to you, not to God). Acknowledging your sin and not blaming another (the lie, Satan) is the only way to perceive the truth and truly care for God as you should. It is your step to take campbell, love God or remain ignorant. God will love you either way, which is why God has given you merciful lies to cover up your ignorance. There will never be true peace for you until you open up to God and stop covering up your ignorance with lies- you have to want to change for God first. God won't force you (look at all the atheists God cares for- God covers up their spiritual pain with "material" "wealth"), but will eventually guide you into making the correct decision. You just have to see the truth first, that hurting God hurts you, even though God protects you from the pain of this knowledge until you are ready to confront it. Be brave, young soul, and I will be with you in paradise. Even Jesus felt the touch of God's discipline.
SATAN is not a ficticious character. And the only way you could make a statement like that, is if you donot believe the Bible is true. I believe the Bible is true, it appears you donot.
PLEASE NOTE: Kharakov does not believe in a devil... which is contrary to the Bible and will help to make this debate a little more understandable.
And yet, the one he does not believe in, is most likely the one controling many of his thoughts, and beliefs. I can say that, because many of the things I have heard Kharakov express, mirror what demons believe.
whatever man, I think everyone needs to stop arguing with campbell and jd4u. They are so far gone, it is a complete waste of time. Many people have said this before, but I think we should really think about it this time. Reflect on all the time we've wasted arguing with these people, and they are no different than they were to begin with. I have a feeling there are VERY FEW people out there like these two, and that comforts me enough that im able to just, walk away
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it" (Matthew 7:13,14).
I know enough to know that to be a True Christian one must accept Christ with their heart and not just with their mouth...
Okay, so which do you consider the Christian at heart to be? -The one who loves his neighbor, as Christ did. The one who cares for others and treats others as himself, as Christ did. THe one who embodies love, no matter what. OR -The one who carries a bible in hand to justify all of his condemnations of his neighbor? The one who corrects his neighbor and tells him hes not living right because he doesnt abide by a book.
One who tries follow Christ commands and accepts Him by mouth and trully believes in him in their heart
Say Colours I don't like to think of it as arguing, just a healthy debate. Now I tried to get Fuzzy to answer this question, and I was hopeing you might. How do you think Ezekiel knew that in the later days and the later years the Children of Israel would return to the land of Israel, and recapture Jerusalem? It would be a mistake to believe there are only a few of us out here. Perhaps on this web site, but there are growing numbers of Christians here in America.
And even more outside of the U.S. Matthew 24:14 "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
That may be true but the number of NON believers are growing quicker. Religion1990 Est. Adult Pop.2001 Est. ADULT Pop.2004 Est.
