Whatever clothing might be for you besides self-expression and protection from the elements is just an illusion. It actually changes nothing about you or your situation, just how you and others perceive you.

I certainly would not say that I think everyone should go naked all the time. I only believe that if someone finds it difficult to be naked in a public setting, that person is not as free as he or she could be.

Wow, great comments. It's infortunate in our society today that the nature of your job can dictate how public you can be with your interests towards nudity. When working in the public sector, and especially if you work around children, you have to be especially careful. One wrong word from the wrong person, and you can be on the street seeking new employement. But, I agree completely that your true, close friends will understand, support, and possibly even join in. I sure wish I could be completely open and transparent, but unfortunately, I'm only able to enjoy and celebrate my nudist lifestyle within my own home or around those who know me very well. But I can happily say I take full advantage of that. Personal freedom still exists today if you look for it.

This is a great thread. No nastiness of arguing just intelligent observations.
I love to be naked and the greater part of each day is spent naked. It is, for me, a natural way to be, a return to innocence. Yes, my sexuality is involved but it is not the ruling factor. It is more about freedom for me.

Children are born without any cultural baggage. It all has to be taught to them. I know of two families that allow and encourage family nudity at home, at least part of the time, and the kids seem to be very healthy and well-adjusted. The parents have been consistent in the way they have handled the issue from early childhood on.

I see nudity mostly as an extreme form of honesty. If you have a lot to hide, you aren't going to comfortable with it. That feeling tells you something important about yourself.

I,ts just my opinion, but I believe a woman , particularly if she is attractive, can get by nude in public easier than a man. They will likely smile and/or say something derogatory, if they see a man naked out somewhere or even in his own yard they are likely to call the police. I would love to spend some outdoor time naked but I have to carefully pick a time and a place.

Totally agree nakedman55. The few times I have gone outdoors around my house I had to be very careful not to be seen (usually when dark). Luckily, never caught. The one exception about men being nude outdoors may be around their own swimming pool.
