Why hav long hair?

This depends heavily on how one defines the word natural.
If we take as the definition "how it would be if not consciously intervened with by man" then that pretty much makes our entire lives unnatural

 

true humans ended theyre natural evolution when fire was discovered and when we 1st wore clothes
we are far from natural in this day and age

but as far as hair goes, the natural state of hair would be dreads that form naturaly

 

I've always been of the view that anything that occurs within the universe must be natural, since "natural" is simply how a thing behaves under a given condition, intervention implies different conditions, but can't really be against nature, since everything is a part of nature... if that makes sense and I'm not just rambling.

So, combed hair, is naturally straight.
Combed hair dreading would be unnatural, since it would be a contradiction of how it should be behaving under those conditions.

Likewise, hair not combed, will naturally dread.

 

I actually started thinking would it look cool if i stopped using normal shampoes and let my hair go wild?
Any expieriences?

 

its more about feel then look the look will 1st go through a messy stage that doesnt exactly look great butthe freedom and the experience feels great..and u gain so much from it..it becomes like an evolution

 

it makes plenty of sense, I had the same argument the other day
by my definition, I consider everything from cell phones to water natural. it something happen in nature, it's natural right? I always thought it was simple, but it gets people sometimes.

 

'Cause it's soft and enjoyable. Plus I like the way it looks and it really sends a 'fuck yuppies' kind of message.

Also, all girls with very long hair, I appreciate it, long hair is the sexiest thing ever.

 

the real nitty gritty underlying question in all of this is...
why on earth have short hair?!?!

I keep my hair long in honor of my ancestors who died on the Trail of Tears. My grandma's hair would actualy touch the floor when she brushed it out every night before we went to bed , im not that far from matching her .

 

god's given us hair and facial hair that grows long why cut it off!

 

I used to have long hair and I never really liked it. I like it short so much better. I've kind of always wanted dreads though. Long hair looks awesome on other people and guys with long hair are usually hot.

I grew up a Marine Corps brat. My pop would take me to the military barber shop. I hated it and being a true wild child...out the door I went...the first time. Under pain of certain death I accepted a "butch cut" but bitched about it for years until, in my teens, he gave up.

I've had long hair ever since. Haven't had it cut at all in 15 yrs.

I have thick wavy hair. I can't make THAT short. it's down to my bellybutton. I had an old lady come up to me and tell me that I have the most beautiful hair she's ever seen a few weeks ago.
