i've had long hair for most of life and it's been dreaded up for close to nine years now...i think i love my hair cause it makes me feel rooted and grounded...which is a goodthing for me...i'm an earth sign. it feels so good wrapped around me....that's why i say...LET YER FREAK FLAG FLY!!!!
my people didnt have dreads eagle. and they did have brushes, made from a porcupine tail, with no quills of course, just short enough hairs to make a bristle type brush. then they decorated the brush with beadwork. the white man cut our hair in boarding schools. stuck soap in our mouth when we spoke our language. i haven't seen alot of indians with long hair.
Started growing mine for lot of reasons two years back 1) I couldn't afford a haircut 2) I had just split with my gf and she would never let me have it long, sort of a sulky thing on my part there 3) I was in a play where I had to look as though I had been living rough in a post-apocalyptic bombed-out church, and my director forbade me from getting a hair-cut anyway. Before then I had always routinely shaved it all off every few months or so, it was the first time I had really done anything different with it, and I liked it. So I just kept letting it grow. Back from uni these days and folk I knew don't recognise me
I don't have long hair. I'm trying though! I think it's beautiful. The longest mine has ever been was probably halfway down my back; not that long. I've decided not to cut it again, though, and just see where it ends up. It's really short right now, so it will take a while; LOL, I look like a Beatle.
Mine's not very long right now, only to my shoulders, but it used to be very long. I think I look pretty plain when my hair is short, so I guess that's why. Quite frankly, I think I'm gorgeous with long hair. EDIT: oopsie, this is only for boys... ignore me
I used to have long hair... but I hated it whenever i wanted to skate, it got in the way of everything, like in my eyes and shit. I thought it looked cool, but I get way more compliments from the bitties with short hair, so i guess ill keep it short
Ever hear of a ponytail and a bandanna? Plus, women really dig the long hair.. the ones worth chasing anyway.
Long hair on a guy is an expression of freedom and individuality, plus it's natural, why suppress nature?
