"remember you only grew up in a christian home...." I didn't just grow up in a christian home... i studied the religion heavily, i read the bible front and back twice, and i developed a strong respect for Jesus of Nazareth that i still possess today... i just didn't believe in god, that's all... buh-bye and peace, man...
lol. i've never read a post with a more "AHA! TAKE THAT!" attitude. it's kinda funny, especially considering his ignorance. i'm sure he felt really triumphant. it gave me a chuckle.
"And if he did return, how on earth would you even know?" Hum just to add that Signrelated would also not know, (or if he is in the divine game could he tell us more) as all the other, when He would come back. Until He reveals it to you. Hope it 's not too much paraphrasing KC But I think Signrelated should tell us more, if He doesn't come back, Does it mean we are lost (if you believe in Him, but He decided to let us down) ? Does it mean we can find our way alone to harmony(if you believe in conscious human society) ? Does it mean you don't give a fuck to the fact He exist or not, Or do you have the proof everyday that He is not here, so you don't have to believe in anything? It could also be something else, just tell us more
Did Jesus ever actually leave? According to what I've read concerning Christian mythology, Jesus claimed that the Kingdom of God was "at hand." Doesn't that mean that, at least when he spoke the words, a believer could just reach right out and touch it? It was in existence and available to everyone. I don't recall anywhere in Jesus' words where he claimed you had to die to reach it. Only that you reached it through him. Now, unless "Jesus" is synonymous with "death" that should mean that a believer can reach the Kingdom at any time. So, if Jesus "sits at the right hand of the Father" in the Kingdom of Heaven, then that would make Him "at hand" as well, would it not? Hence, He's here, now. Didn't those trumpets someone mentioned as heralding His coming sound at His birth? I seem to recall hearing something like that. Why should they be sounded a second time?
The bible teaches that in the time the world sees the Jews return to Israel and they retake Jerusalem, that will be the time when Christ will return. The bible states that Russia will begin to come back to power and threaten the United States with nuclear war because of our support for Israel. America will back down and Russia will turn their armies towards Israel. Russia will try to drive the Jews into the sea. God will not allow it and God will destroy the Invadeing Russian army with a natural disaster. Russia will not believe it was God that did it, and will launch her missiles at the United States. America will not counter attack fearing the world will be destroyed. Before the missiles hit America God will send His angles to rescue His church. America will be gone in one hours time. We have about 30 years left. And if you understand what I have just said, you will know more than 99.9% of the ministers and priest in our country . There is a lot more to this story but that is part of it.
Campbell, I am pretty sure I don't need to remind you, hwever, it is worth mentioning. No one knows whe nthe return of Christ will take place. Yes you can look at The Bible and see things happening around us, but you nor I will ever know or guess the correct date. I just wanted this to be clear to those who are reading this and might be thinking "oh great, another person who thinks he knows when the world will end".
Remember no one except our father in heaven knows the exact date or hour of the rapture. However, he allows us to see the signs and indications that his return is near. We must always be ready. And campbell never said the date or hour but an estimation based on this: "Now learn the lesson from the fig tree; As soon as its twigs get tender, and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it is near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened." Christ's parable of the fig tree is the most revealing Scripture concerning the time of Christ's return. It actually pinpoints the generation of people living on earth just before Christ appears. In the Bible, the fig tree is a historic symbol of the nation of Israel. The parable speaks of the fig tree putting forth leaves. Many theologians believe this is a clear reference to the rebirth of Israel. If that is true, then we are the generation that will witness the physical return of Jesus Christ. Since Israel declared itself a nation in 1948. What the parable is telling us is the following: The generation born in the year 1948 would not pass away. In other words, when Jesus Christ returns some people will still be alive on the planet who were born in the year 1948. With only a few realizing it, the world will soon be entering the third day of God. In the Old Testament in the book of Hosea, there is a key verse often overlooked. It states, "After two days He will revive us: in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight" (Hosea 6:2). Before Christ rescues His people from the planet, the Bible says He will resurrect the bodies of His servants that died in the past. "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord" (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17). After Christ died, He was resurrected on the third day. According to Hosea 6:2, God will call the dead in Christ from out of their graves on the third day. Christ then will rescue His people that are alive on earth. Now, here is where things start to get interesting. The Bible gives us two time references speaking of this event. These two references are found in the Old and the New Testaments and are totally independent of each other. Yet, both of these references appear to converge at the same time in the future. However, God's two days are not 24-hour days. God's days are much longer than ours as explained in II Peter 3:8, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." To illustrate, Christ was resurrected in the year 33 A.D. If the passage of 2000 years equals two days in God's time, then the end of the two days will be in the year 2033. The third day thus will start in the year 2034. Although 2034 may or may not be the exact year Christ returns, His coming must be very close. For you see, the generation that was born in the year 1948 will be 86 years old in 2034. It was Jesus who said in Matthew 24:34 that this generation would not pass away until all end-time prophecies would be fulfilled.

Or were you kidding?
In Ezekiel 38, God speaks of the ancient tribes of Meshech and Tubal and of their leader Gog. Although these ancient tribal names are not common today, it is important to understand that these tribes settled in the land that we recognize as Russia. So, when the Bible speaks of Gog, understand that God is identifying and talking about Russia. In the Old Testament, God says that Gog will assemble a massive and mighty army that will invade Israel in the latter years. In Ezekiel 38:9, He tells us that this invading army will be so large, that they will be like a "cloud to cover the land." Also, God said Gog would come from the "utter most north." By looking at a world globe, one can see that the only nation to the utter most north of Israel is Russia. Bible scholars knew that Gog was Russia years before Israel even became a nation. One can verify this by picking up a Scofield Bible from 1900. Curiously enough, by drawing a straight line north from Jerusalem on a globe, the line perfectly intersects Moscow. Do not be fooled by Russia and their present passive government. They are only the calm before the storm. Evil war like leaders will be coming back into power. The Bible demands it. To Campbell Oh ok I understand You must be an hard believer with your proof. Does it help you to smile and to love every people you face in the street? How do you translate that in acts? I saw on your site: I found the Old Testament was indeed written before the coming of Jesus, as the Dead Sea Scrolls (containing parts of the book of Isaiah) were proven to have been written before Jesus came. Woo, you started almost with the hardliest part of the 3 monotheists books, I mean you understood the key no? DO not take any hurt, I am just surprised To all Oh ok I understand

Oooh-whee, this post stinks of anti-Christian sentiment. How can we have a world of peace with such hateful, negative views of other people beliefs? By the way, Sign Related, not all Christians are hateful, judgemental pieces of filth, I know why you have this sort of attitude. Please try to remember that when you perpetuate hate, we all lose. Not all Christians think the same way... I don't even know if I believe that the world is going to completely end, but I do think this... Our world is going to go through a change, it'll be an end to the old ways, and a new beginning. But of course, that's all relative to the way that you believe... I can respect difference of opinion. But as a final response, the Bible tells us that no one knows when the Hour comes. We aren't supposed to know, because the point to being a Christian is to live like each moment could be our last... To live as though we will be judged in the very next second. That's why we are supposed to keep our own council, and always be obedient, because we DON'T know when the Hour will come. As for knowing when He returns, that's where faith comes in. If you don't have faith, it's pretty hard to understand. And as for the End not having come yet, I think I'm a pretty poor judge of how things should be done. I'm only human after all. I'm on His time, not my own. Hope this helps!
Why is everyone so convinced that it hasn't happened yet? A 'perfect' world would be so boring. What if it HAS happened and you just haven't realized it? What if "THE RAPTURE" is a state of mind and all you need to do to enter the Kingdom is open your eyes to it? Nowhere in the Bible does it say that ecstasy can exist without pain. Just because YOU don't think the world is the perfect representaton of your conception of a world in which Jesus lived, doesn't mean it isn't. Has it completely escaped you that you might be misinterpereting what is written? And does every single prophecy have to come true to your satisfaction? What if they have all come to pass, but just not in any way that you have been able to recognize. They say that "one of the thieves was saved," but only in ONE of the gospels. Another says they were both damned, and the rest don't even mention them. ALL of these could be true at the same time, you simply have to open your mind to it. Look around you folks, and then tell me again how God isn't among us.
It was the first time too. His followers at the time certainly had different ideas about what was going to happen. Rarely do things happen the way we imagine they will.
