Well, if you were refering to bogo bundles and stampbags it's logical. 2 + 3 bogo bundles= 100 stampbags. Well, God works in completely logical and lovable ways. So if you understand God you will be happy with your life. That's the point of trying to understand God. Yeah, if God didn't do special things for me, I wouldn't believe in God. It's that simple. The books help though.
But we're talking about creation. Before creation there was nothing to end because nothing had yet begun. I think your statement should read, "you may be able to *believe* that 2 + 3 = 100, but you cannot know it (because it's false, and a knowledge claim is, by definition, true). The thing is, I'm not sure if my point is merely semantic or not. It really depends if my rephrasing is exactly what you mean, only in language that is more familiar to me. So you tell me. But to say that God does defy logic simply because He can is not factual. Most theologians would argue that God is, at least most of the time, rational, since rationality is a quality that, it seems to me, any being that could possibly be considered a God would have. We could go on like this for days, but the point is that we're just speculating, we're just doing metaphysics, and metaphysics simply can't be done to yield results that are falsifiable, or even verifiable. I have a problem with fundamentalists. I don't think they challenge their faith at all because their faith is so obviously wrong that I don't think that any person could analyse and investigate it open-mindedly and find it to be true, or even possibly true.
I believe god is the simplest, yet most fitting for human contentment and sociology, embodiment of both spirituality and higher being. these thigns are hardwired into human brains. human brain finds meaning in everything it finds. human brain puts things in order of status, and has a heirarchy, whetehr consciosu or subconscious. these thigns, reflected onto everything that we dont know about, manifest to become god. he is the meaning in everything we cant find a meaning for. he is the ruler of everyone who isnt being ruled. he is the creator and designer of everything that was not created or designed by another human. he is the direction when no clear direction is trackable. the brain unites all these and more similar concepts, as well as mixing your whole life experience, into creating your understanding, and subsequently giving you 'god' or 'allah' or 'zeusandallhislackeys' or... 'stonerbill' i am my god because I give meaning to everything that i dont have meaning for. Everyone is their own god, but being god of yourself gives the illusion that seperates your mind into ego and 'enlightenment' (just a suitable term imo). 'enlightenment' is god of ego. it seems to us that 'god' is the god of 'me' they are both part of us.
