I'm reminded of the oft quoted saying "One mans Terrorist is another mans Freedom fighter" Sometimes Unification can take decades, even generations to resolve (British and Irish, ANC and South African White governing rule such examples) however, much though it would seem a case of talk will win out a cause to continue to pursue - and; in this ever changing modern world maybe an idea for a 'Big Brother' experiment may be one way of mutual education may allow understanding, appreciation and acceptance(?) - Ultimately - unless one is in a particular place, time, situation - then FAR harder than simple solutions allow
Hamas was democratically elected. You can speculate all you want about why they were elected. But when Israel responded by setting up a blockade, that was a declaration of war. And now the Israeli regime is crying when rockets are fired by those whom they have declared war against. So, Israel is demanding that those whom they have declared war against need to insure Israel’s security. WTF! I notice that no one is addressing the issue of the lawlessness of the Israeli regime’s blatant violation of international law; specifically the 4th Geneva Convention. They're building settlements in occupied territory.
Practically speaking, I think that Israel and other countries close by like Egypt and Syria want to maintain for the planet a good relationship of humanity with it's environ-ment$. Of course, there is the oil exploration and development theory; tit for tat: sometimes we like looking greedy and selfish.
That is debatable. I think that according to the tradition, the Arabs knew something of their heritage, but they had forgotten/forsaken the faith of their forefathers (just as Terah's family had done before Abram's epiphany in the Bible). Mohammed is believed to have brought the people back to the "true" religion of their forefathers.
History books aren't the facts. They are mostly opinions of those that write them. For instance, Lincoln is described as the great emancipator, when in reality he was a bigot that said that he in no way considered blacks equal to whites, and wanted to deport them all after the war. Abraham Lincoln Quote “I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races – that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I as much as any other man am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything.” by: Abraham Lincoln (1809-1865) 16th US President Source: https://markii.wordpress.com/2007/02/19/racist-quote-by-abe-lincoln-happy-black-history-month/ Abraham Lincoln 'tried to deport slaves' to British colonies - Daily Mail
