I second this and want to see the broader picture of the entire region not just Gaza versus Israel.

Hamas and ISIS (ISIS renamed itself btw and tweaked their last two letter acronym) are only the same in that they are willing to use violence and to kill humans because of their ideals.

Suppose that they need to send a message to the people of Gaza not to cooperate.

The biggest victim of Hamas is the Palestinians themselves.

 

Then perhaps you could explain how it is that a person with a progressive attitude can back up a regime that constructs illegal settlements in occupied territory in contravention of International Law.

Piney, I'm glad that I'm not alone with deanstar on this issue. Hamas is sworn to destroy Israel and acts as a terrorist state even though "elected" in "Gaza. Sort of makes me wonder what "inducements" were used to push the people to Hamas; Maybe some photos of their family members with bullet holes or hanging from a pole.
