ive been playing guitar for 3 years because i just love the sound it makes. i play it at least 2 hours a day.
I'm so glad some one asked this! I've played for 6 or 7 years now. When I first started I played 6 hours straight like some of the people on here, then came a point I realized hey guitar is fun and my passion but I'm missing a whole world out there! I was into it because I used to be obssessed with Clapton it's about all I played (I could honestly say if clapton needed a back up guitarist I'm there for him!) I love Clapton stuff so much I had to go out and buy as many guitars that were like the ones he played over the years. I've had 5 strats from cheap to EC Signature, Martin guitar, Gibson Les Paul, Gibson ES-335 (from 1968 its my best) Gibson SG, a telecaster, and then I bought gibsons because their cooler at times. I have a flying V a Les Paul Special and a couple more less expensive guitars, but all played thourgh a Marshall JCM 800 (original model) I'm not proud of my collection but I play them all! So I guess I do a little bit of picking. Lately I have been writing my own stuff though, I hate it because I can't sing.
lol i wouldn't say keyboard was alot easier than guitar, personally i would say keyboard/piano was harder, remember you play two rhythms at once and the fingering is different with each hand, its easier for you to recognise the notes, but technically its a hard instrument to learn
hmmm this is how I see it. guitar - easy to play, hard to master bass - hard to play, easy to master drums - easy to play, hard to master keyboards - easy to play, hard to master harmonica - hard to play, hard to master thats just my opinion
