Seems to be a common thing across this sight especially with baby boomers, both in the Brexit threads and the Trump threads. That somehow one political party was responsible for the decline in the manufacturing sector......and not the you know, 500 million chinese prepared to work for $2 a day

i mean you even just talked about the options left being working in McDonalds or Walmart, most of the products in wall mart, where do you think they are made

And you say to us, you can not educate a mindless chicken

    The re-education camp comment

  6. As to a wall, an idea that would actually work. Not seven or eight billion of our dollars spent on a memorial to Donald Trump for no reason at all.
There's a difference between a friendly chat and having the leader of a foreign country influence elections in your favor.
He pulled out of a nuclear treaty with Iran. That's what people were upset about. I don't recall anyone being upset by the fact that phony reasons for war, which Trump tried in his own dopey way to endorse, didn't lead to war. Still waiting to see what Iran does next, since obviously this war is inevitable, because people like Donald Trump want it.

I don't know about a re-education camp, but ya'all should be sent back to school to learn some critical thinking skills. Obviously nothing got through to you in that capacity the first time around.

How about his own father, who is responsible? Fundamentalists demand lots of finger pointing, retribution, and harsh punishments, that the televangelists can criticize in great detail.

Trump is an incompetent dick, that's why I hate him.

  10. I don't hate Trump. But all he loves is himself. The presidency is simply a way to indulge his ego. It has nothing to do with making this a better country. Sure, he realizes that he'll actually have to do something good to be remembered well, but he is incapable of this, because he simply lacks the brains to do it.

By far the cheapest and most obvious solution is to throw them over the border, and let Mexico deal with our trash. We can throw a few bucks their way and promise not to cut off their water. The cartels could expand their sex trade and we could make sure Interpol looks the other way for awhile. I'm sure they love the Donald and his followers as much as anyone.

He has sparked racial tension all across this country, I happened to be on the receiving end of some of that bullshit. People have come out loud and proud with bigotry, and we even seen it in this forum. Not one time has this man delivered any kind of speech during Black History month, Martin Luther King’s birthday, or any other ethnic observance month that deserves to be recognized for their contributions to society. It’s repulsive!

I have serious doubts that Donald Trump wants any wars. I think that his actions in the last few hours before military action made that quite clear
IF Russia influenced his election, I doubt that he had prior knowledge of it.
My views are entirely personal and most importantly not influenced by the media. I have first hand experience of how they can cobble together a few things that I said and make them tell a very different story once the context is changed.

Having questioned a few of my points, If you were President of the US, how would you ensure work, restructuring cities like Detroit and bring pack a sense of 'proud to be American' to the people.

  15. Or, he's just being advised against it because of the overwhelming number of people not buying the bullshit. "Oh, Iran attacked a tanker in the gulf...war everybody?!" Um, no, Peg.

I see that your views are personal. You have a personal admiration of Trump. You have had the wool pulled over your eyes.

I wouldn't ensure work. Work sucks. All of your work goes to ensure that rich people make a lot of money. That's the only reason they create any jobs. If Donald Trump wants to drive to work, expect a bridge to get fixed. Otherwise you're fucked. To ensure work, I'd ensure less demand. I'd insist that people stop constantly buying and whoring themselves and just sit in their homes in the dark with a blank look on their faces.

Americans have nothing to be proud of. I wouldn't ensure that, either. But nobody gives a fuck about what I'd do if I were president, so it's a pretty idiotic question.

Currently 40% of all Wall Street trades are already done by computers, while its been possible to replace every bureaucrat in DC with computers for years now, and only one teacher is required for 120 students, and computers raise their math scores in particular. The entire Chinese electronics assembly line is already being replaced by automation, the first low cost robots have become popular among smaller mom and pop businesses, they are poised to replace most agricultural machines, already drive better than humans, and diagnose patients better than your average doctor. That's all just for starters, because over a trillion dollars was invested in AI research last year alone, while Microsoft, Intel, and AMD have already begun introducing AI circuitry into every processor made and are planning on eliminating programming bugs, by programming programmers out of existence with AI algorithms. There can be no doubt the next scientific revolution has already begun, but without a theory of everything, while AI is now being called the new Manhattan Project.

What America requires is good old fashion American ingenuity, because what's coming is nothing like anything anyone predicted. We require serious philosophers and others that we don't have, and need to prepare. All our think tanks and mainstream institutions are about to become useless. All the evidence indicates that, instead of a metaphysical universe that obeys mechanical laws, we inhabit a metaphorical one that requires a totally different approach. My book will be in the public domain and capable of being expanded upon and improved by any academics but, at some point, they must come out of the closet and make their work official. Getting there is the tricky part, but I've started the last chapter and can't wait to see how it all works out.

Basically, I have to make it too self-defeating for civilization to continue to ignore what's missing from this picture. From what I can tell so far, it shouldn't be that hard. Words have a will and a life of their own, and can grow and spread ideas like weeds.

With your views of the world, 50 years from now the only jobs left for humans will be sweeping the roads and unblocking toilets. Which one will you chose.???

PS, have you read the book, 'The machine stops'.??

Bullshit. Some 90% of all the wealth in the world today is invested in speculation, such as Wall Street, which is all about to be automated. The reason for all the rush with AI is because they can be 100,000x more efficient and over 3x as fast. But, just applying all that technology to the world as we know it will require an estimated 4,000 years, and it will soon become easier to make a profit by investing in each other, than to speculate on Wall Street, because the computers will take most of the speculation out of such trades.

Unlike mere mortals, AI can come complete with fact checkers and lie detectors that allow them to see exactly what is happening and predict if you'll even develop skin cancer.

Oh they got machines, or will have machines for that shit too. I wouldn’t actually mind having one that can take care of plumbing issues. Plumbers charge over $100 just for the house call and diagnosis alone.
