Just because this hasn't been said yet I wanted to add this talking point to the discussion.

Some scientists (psychologists, sociologists, and anthropologists) believe that physical beauty, like facial-body symmetry, and certain height averages, matter because they indicate that an individual has healthy, stable, and strong genes and evolutionarily speaking that's why humanity gravitates toward, and recognizes and labels certain archetypes of visual stimuli as "beautiful".

It's all in the eye of the "beerholder" , I'll agree. Every pot has a lid. We all have our preferences. And, when you get right down to it ; it's all about preferences and sexual willingness ; makes the world go 'round. If I think you're HAWT and we're having fun ; I'm gonna treat ya like a million bucks.

I think looks are important, but not to show him to friends. I like the fact he looks good, because I like looking at beautiful people.

I love the looks of my husband, but I'm not sure other women would. He's not a fashionable man and I think most women pay attention to such things as clothes, the vehicle a man drives, the shoes he wears. My husband couldn't care less for such things and I'm the same.

What none of us likes is fat on our bodies and we try to keep our weights right for ourselves and for each other. We don't need to be thin, but I wouldn't impose the sight of an overweight version of myself on my husband and I'm happy he thinks the same way about it.

I wouldn't wanna be with an intelligent man who I found ugly, nor would I want to be with a beautiful man I found stupid.
