You say "wrong" but then go on to confirm everything I posted.... The sad thing is I don't think you even realize it. You have reached new levels of pathetic, roamy. At least you are doing it in the open for everyone to see. I don't understand how anyone can take you seriously.

This I think is a very valid question.

Hmmm, I think I will channel Glen Beck for another question.

Do the Dutch enjoy raping goats? I am not saying they do, I am just asking questions.

But he wasn't Dutch....he was German. He is no more Dutch than Charles XIV was Swedish....

William was also not a member of the House of Orange-Nassau by birth, as you claimed, seeing as the house of Orange-Nassau didn't even exist at the time of his birth.

Perhaps you need a lesson in English then. When you say "Dutch prince" you are saying he is Dutch, which he most certainly isn't. He held a Dutch title but was not, himself, Dutch. Hell, Orange itself is in France....

and in here also i am choosing to reply to your post to me in my rep page from this thread.the one where you said i was trying to wrongly make out that william of orange is connected to the present day orange order.wrong!he most certainly is.

the orange order is a prtestant fraternal organisation based mainly in northern ireland, scotland, though it has lodges throughout the commonwealth and united states.the instituation was founded in 1796,near the village of loughall in co. armagh.

its name is a tribute to born william of orange.

who defeated the catholic james 11 at the battle of the boyne in 1660.william and james were both gransons of the beheaded charles stuart, cannonised by the anglican church as stuart charles the martyr,as much as much as bonnie prince charles.william the 111 was co-monarch with mary the 11 his first cousin, daughter of king james who they disposed.

the orange order as it presently exists,i.e.the loyal orange order institution of ireland, came into existence after the battle of the diamond in 1795,which took place on september 21st near loughgall,a few miles from drumcree.it was a clear clash between catholic defenders and the protestant peep o' day boys.in which unarmed catholics were killed.the governor lord gosford gave his opinion of the violence in co.armagh following the battle ,at a meeting ofmagistrates on the 28th of december 1795.

he said. it is no secret that a persecution is now raging in this country.the only crime is the profession of the catholic faith.lawless banditti have constituted themselves judge.

we have another name for orange men in ireland. the british kkk i.e. british/ germans.

the same people who continued the persecution of irish catholics in america long after they landed off the coffin ships.the same people who also persecuted africans in america and other ethnic minoritys. the first slaves were the irish and the africans.

yes the kkk in america and the orange order in ireland are all the same people, only difference being instead of parading in ireland in white clothes, they paraded in bowler hats. no not all britsh people are british/german nazis. there are many very good and decent english people.as there are many good and decent non-nazi germans, but the ones that are'nt are the the british/german nazis in northern ireland ,scotland and through out the commonwealth and the united states.as with the german nazis.

That's the great grandchild of the William of Orange we were talking about! :mickey: It's the one that became king of England at least a century later, not the one that lead the dutch revolt

And like I said earlier, the name in tribute to that king is the only connection with your orange men.

They don't want to be regarded as something special, Lode. After all, this 'ubermensch' title has a negative ring to it :p We're already known to equal God were it comes to colouring vegetables.

    No, that's just me.

i cant believe yall are still talking about william the orange. it really makes no difference to what is going on now. and people say americans are to distracted with hiltons and kardashians. well the fact that they get 5 seconds of air time makes that true but.....

Yeah, Willem van Oranje and Paris Hilton are on the same level. Both are important historical figures.

We're just correcting roamy, pensfan. And history is interesting and fun, at least in my experience. Can't you spend time both on important current issues and things you just have an interest in? :2thumbsup:

To be fair, we're trying to correct Roamy. She has no time for actual history though, and seems to prefer fantasy.

No way, we have corrected her. That she herself may not accept the corrections is something different.

    Now we start getting insulting!
