Many were crucified, only one is said to be resurrected. Again, the quality of the teaching. Resurrection in the most practical sense is reassurance of thought. Take this cup and drink and and often as you do this, remember me.
To remember is to become again, a member. Let the mind be in you that is in christ. The purpose is not to die, but to live forever, I in you and you in me.

Ah, to re-member. Yes. I am he as you are he as you are me, and we are all together.

It is written that no man knoweth the hour of his coming. Perhaps that's because the coming occurs in the mind, and at a different hour for each member, according to their path. But you can bet if there is going to be a second coming in the literal sense, it will be brought to you by Chrysler, home of fine cars! Capitalism--where does it stop?

When Jesus, if real, gave up the ghost on the cross, I think the body was the ghost. He who hath an ear, let him hear, or something like that.

WHAT? Storch youve lost me here.
That would be much better then the eternal ancticipation put into the members heads. To bad its not taught like that. For 2000 yrs people have been waiting. How many lives have been altered, good and bad, becasue they center their lives on the 'coming'. How much human energy has been wasted believing this dogma?
I dont know. I dont see a peaceful preacher, even a successful evangelist with multitudes, being put to death over teachings. To bad theres not more historical evedence of those days.
So what is this romantic poetry?

I'm sorry, I was just offering a light hearted commentary on the the prevalence of capitalism in the world; how someone would find a way to capitalize on even the second coming, like nothing is sacred.

Cool, I see. Yeap, theres big money in religion. My pastor, when I was a kid, delivered papers. He'd get the news first of the obits and offer the church's services. I guess there's a need. Someones got to do it.
Thankfully I've grown up enough to understand and appreciate the difference between religion and spirituality. Once that distinction is understood great potential is available.

Another way to express this is no one knows the hour of his coming because love does not wait on time, but on invitation. The purpose of watching is vigilance. It is taught like that, although it is an esoteric lesson to the masses.

Who said anything about peace? The man spoke truth to authority and authority didn't like it.

Hardly. Resurrection technology is occult practice.

what about the idea that jesus' death was predestined before the foundations of the earth? it doesn't really matter what the circumstances are surrounding his death. anyone can die, or even lay down their life or sacrifice themselves for a cause. but it doesn't mean that their death will provide atonement for the sins of humanity. this is something that can only be granted by divine appointment.

so i guess it just depends on if you have faith or think it was a hoax.

Absolutely ^...it all comes down to faith. Either you are able to OR choose to take that leap (of faith) or you just aren't able to take that leap. For some people, as they grow older and have studied about every kind of religion in the world, I've known some that after all of their metaphysical studies decided that, indeed, they found they could/would be able to take that "leap".

And about the Jesus being the only one resurrected...yes, that is true, the only one resurrected from the cross to atone for the sins of the world...but don't forget about Lazarus, whom Jesus raised from the dead. I think there was also a child that was brought back to life (by Jesus)...but I'm too lazy to look it up right now. :p Also, the difference with Jesus's resurrection, was that he ascended to heaven very soon AFTER the resurrection and exhibited the ability to basically teleport here on earth after this, but prior to the ascension. To me, it seemed that He could, at will, be either flesh or spirit after the resurrection.

Jesus offered to complete heaven in the material world for God: the marriage of spirit and matter in goodness and purity. Jesus washes the sin away of the earth upon his return, because he is powerful enough to wash the material plane of injustice. No one else is capable.

2012 is the return year of the Christ, and no -- this earth is not going up in flames with him. It will be set on fire spirtually, however, as a part of the cleansing process. In fact, this cleansing process has already started.

She means the idea of jesus being the paschal lamb is a continuation of the sacrificial ritual.

Jesus didn't need to be sacrificed to save us from sin. Sin is missing the sign. Jesus educated how to see the truth or the correct sign. Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you, ask and you will receive.

    Find what?
    What will be opened?
    Relieve what?
Sounds like a riddle? I like parables and fables. Keeps me thinking.

Did the Earth really change a lot due to Jesus? It just seems that if God came to Earth in the form of a human we would have seen much more profound change. So, God came down as Jesus and was incognito and told parables and performed some miracles and held the first church services. We got a humble God. Maybe he was making amends for all the wars and things he had people do in the old testament.

    What you look for.
The door you seek to open.
    What you ask for.

God sacrificed Jesus because Jesus wanted to be sacrificed. Do not blame God. God is good.

The sin part, well, let's just say a lot of beings really need Jesus to save them.

The forgiveness part, well... it is hard to explain.

Dumbest thing I have read in long time.
Man made god not the other way around.

Science is not worshiped its facts based upon reality, religion is based upon faith and not fact so its stupidity at its finest.

Or learned superstition. Facts are science based. If we look for scientific explanation in Gods law we would still think the Earth was flat and the world is 6000 yrs old and other beliefs of the times they were written. Scientific phenomena and natural events that were in-explainable became mystical and susceptible to Gods, to myth and majic. The tangled webs we weave.

It was a religious thing to try to shame people into better behaviour.
