because the customer asked what the specials were, thats why you tell them ALL the specials you have..... i've never had a problem asking for the specials and if i did, i'd take my money somewhere else...
He should've listed out the specials...that's just plain lazy. That's like asking someone what they want off a menu they've never seen before.
do you call mcdonalds for delivery? no, so why would you ask for specials when there specials are in the store, or on the drive through menu, which you have to physically go to...
McDonalds don't have specials...this specific pizza place does...I've ordered from there before and asked the same exact question and never had a problem
well maybe the guy was new and didnt know?? seriously, give people a break, and stop being an annoying customer.
I would have been slightly irritated but I wouldn't have acted snobby about it or hung up the phone. Maybe the person just didn't understand what you meant for some reason or there was more then one special. Who knows.
I didn't act snobby...in fact I was kind of laughing when I was like, "You know what? Forget it"...it seriously wasn't worth my time to sit and try to squeeze it out of her... I thought it was a pretty clear question.
I'm not going to order from there tonight...I'm too irriated... So...I'm still figuring out what to do to feed my hunger...the grocery store closed at 11 EST
damn, annie, that sucks, I've never heard of such bs...what's the big deal about listing the specials? Anywho, what do you have in the kitchen?
I've got half a loaf of wholemeal sliced - your'e welcome to it,if you dont mind scraping the penicillin off of it
thats a lame reason to go hungry. here's a thought, maybe get over yourself, and act like a decent human being?
i think all you had to say when she asked what are you looking for is, "pizza" and then ask if she can list ALL the specials, or tell her you're interested in one large or two mediums.. something in that range. i'm sure she would have helped you out..... i don't know taht particular place but a lot of pizza places sell more than just pizza and have lots of sales/specials going on... like other ppl said. maybe she was actually trying to be polite and not bombard you with a huge list of options that she would have to repeat... give her the benefit of the doubt... i mean unless she sounded really grumpy and irritated most ppl do like to help others out. sometimes at my job ppl will ask how we sell our food and i ask them, well what are you looking for? (something for just yourself, a snack, a meal, a family meal, blahblahblah) i don't just go right into stating our entire menu because then they would stare at me blankly not knowing what the hell is going on... that's speaking from experience. when you say some ppl are stupid referring to the ppl working in food.... us ppl who work with food think... some ppl are stupid, snobby, bitchy, picky, fakely "polite" etc etc etc... so be thankful you're not on the other end of the line and have the ability to hang up when you're slightly annoyed. (i'm a little bitter...can you tell?)
a pizza place couldnt possibly have had too many options to choose from like your work does though. wings, wedges, pizzas and calzones...thats about all pizza places tend to offer, the question was straight forward and should have been easily answered.
