Why are most people on the internet idiots?

Is it better to be a harmless idiot than a dangerous one? I realize that there is near infinite knowledge beyond what I posses and that many things I assume are probably incorrect. So at worst, by what you say, I am not one of the most dangerous idiots.

 

Precisely. Most of us humans, all idiots. All either unsane or insane. It is preferable to be one of the less harmful idiots but near impossible to not be an idiot at all in today's world.

 

I think most people are just retarded. Its just more appearant on the internet because you can judge people by their ability to spell and use correct punctuation.

The internet is like in elementary school when the smart kids and slow kids were seperated into two seperate reading groups. Youtube commentators are the slow kids and most of the hipforumers are the smart reading group.

I think for the last couple of hundred years we have been lowering the IQ of the average person in the west .

its pretty simple we have had several world wars that destroyed the best of our gene pool, and we have increased the chances of idiots having offspring through generous social programme's and not hanging criminals .

 

I think as the net ages and becomes more 'everyday',the way people act on it will modify too.
After all,the internet is still in it's infancy-and it's a fact that all kids make a mess and have tantrums while growing and maturing.
The day will come when you log into a forum and automatically you're image will be there live for all to see-maybe with a code on screen to id your position...you can bet your socks many of the keyboard heros will be a lot quieter then.
It'll happen-the guvmint don't like this freedom of anonymous communication-you just KNOW it'll be curbed and regulated in some way that means you can be traced with ease.

I once ate a small plate of dried red peppers in an Indian restaurant for a laugh, showing off. Nearly had to call a fucking ambulance that time LOL I actually ended up stoned from all the endorphines, but was fucked up for a good 20-30 minutes and nearly threw up.

Post anything that isn't about what kind of lentils have the most protein in them or which honey is the most ethical on the vegetarian forum and it'll be deleted. I'm a proud vegetarian of 10 years and I'm disappointed that that forum has nothing for me, because a perfectly innocent post will be deleted so quickly. It makes vegetarians look like stuck-up pedants who think about nothing but tofu and what they should call themselves. Lame. That's my rant relating to internet-based idiocy for this morning.
