It is my opinion, but no one can own their own truth, they just think they can. Just because you think the world is flat, doesn't make it your truth. It just sounded like something Jesus would say. Like, "Be ye therefore perfect as your father in heaven." It sounds good, but I've never met anyone that accomplished it.
The accomplishment of it is easy enough provided that is actually what you care to accomplish. Many people just have other seemingly pressing concerns. I worked hard at discovering and overcoming my own cultural conditioning. Cultural conditioning is a process of establishing values through the use of hero worship and taboo. We praise behaviors we wish to cultivate and scorn behaviors that we would rather not see. However, it turns out that you can't legislate good behavior. On the other hand a mind that is without anxiety, the pressures that lead to desperate acts, behaves kindly, quite naturally, and without coercion.
Most all opinion within politics has degrees of truth. Yet, parties and politicians repeatedly accuse the other of lying. Examples such as the world is flat borders on psychotic dillustional, and that isn't relevant.
I think it's healthy that people don't quickly change their political beliefs because of one argument. Is that from the X-Men movie? It was missing Emma Frost.
Yes, I've noticed. It all stems from what you were taught. The 'bigots' your referring too are the result of successful brainwashing, passed down through generational teachings. I think it would be funny to give them acid. Once one is identified as such, its best to just keep your distance. These animals feel challenged by big words. While they may seem un-evolved intellectually, they are right on pace with who's against them and who's not. They will instantly pick up on your 'sideline thinking' and try to bring you into the field of play. So that they may slap you in the face with ideologies that may seem a little unsportsmanlike. Just nod your head, crack a smile, say something racist and sneak away.
A group of evangelicals were an experiment. Half the group was given mushrooms, the other half wasn't. Then they were told to go to a church sermon. The half that took the mushrooms said they felt the presence of God. The half that didn't get the mushrooms said it was just like any other sermon.
Funny that you can see that the "world is flat" being delusional, yet think that politics isn't. And there you have what you "think" is true. Not!
Both are false, not truth. When the Catholic church was burning people at the stake for being heretics, because they believed the "world is flat" wasn't true, it was the principals of the church, but not the truth. Just because the Catholic church believed the "world is flat", didn't make it true. Just because you think politics is true, doesn't make it true. Both are delusional.
I think there are a lot people who don't know much about Politics who want to give the impression that they do. That's why they act like they know what they're talking about.
We're not talking ancient times. Times when facts were not proven. Many principles of politics are true. Just because you don't believe in them, doesn't make them invalid or false.
Sigh,...and just because you DO believe in them doesn't make them valid or true. Again, believing is just opinion, not truth. You can stop beating that dead horse now.
A belief is your own truth. If one thought it wasn't truth, they wouldn't believe it. One of the most controversial of all truths is "conception" VS "life begins", or another example is "global warming" VS "natural climate changes". No matter the proof or lack of proof, we all decide what to believe which in turn becomes our truth which we stand by.
I like your sex posts better than your politics posts. Like the "Do women enjoy doing it doggy style?". No need to prove it, I believe you. (((wink))) I hope you take the "just answer" poll in the sex forum. I can't wait to see your answers. oo la la!
