    Doesn't atheism reject spiritual knowledge?

It wasn't the tree of knowledge, it was the tree of the knowledge of good and bad.

Because OWB says so in other words.

He also says that the end of this world is coming within the lifetimes of some people alive on Earth today.

He a very astute individual.

To answer your question, I can tell you that Christians have been doing the exact same thing that you describe here to me and every other non-christian in America, a free country, for the past 62 years of my life. What you are expressing here is what we feel. Some non-Christians, I guess, feel like it's payback time.

This is wrong. You can never correct a wrong action by committing another wrong action. Everyone has the right to believe as they choose and a right to express those beliefs. If a group wants to get together and discuss their beliefs without criticism, that right should be honored, and an explanation should not be necessary.

The knowledge of good and evil is not knowledge because there is no such thing as good and evil in an objective sense. All things occur, but not all things are helpful at all times.
Most people would say I saw so and so do such and such thing, when in reality they had been witness to a show of reflected light. That reflected light is further refracted by the "belief" in good and evil. Good and evil are not opposing factions, they are both part of a set of arbitrary coordinates, (good and evil), and these coordinates point to no set location. If good and evil were an island in the pacific and all we had to navigate were the positions of good and evil, we would never find the place, because those coordinates jump around from moment to moment.

Nope, because the Bible says so.

Yes, because the Bible says so.

Nope, it just seems that way because I read and believe the Bible. :D

Isn't this a little like if you were robbed by a white man, you say all white men are robbers, when in fact only the white man who robbed you, is a robber.

Yes there have been people, who have called themselves "Christian", that have done some pretty abdominal things but doesn't that by definition mean that they were not true Christians?

To actually be a Christian one has to be a footstep follower of the Christ, one has to ask, what would Jesus want me to do?

I totally agree with you but are certain boundaries that should not be crossed even in a free society and the beliefs of a weaker group should be honored even if a stronger group believes that they should not be honored.

Just as a group that believes that violence is the answer, should be honored up to the point that they actually act on those beliefs, at which point they become criminals and should be treated as such.

I feel that this is a wholly inadequate question, who's only answer must necessarily be speculative. The real question is, how would you treat Christ, understanding that Christ is equal to the least of these.

You may want to be careful with that one also.I once told a christian sunday school director, who was also a contractor,to do to me as he would do to Jesus. So he put me out shoveling around a foundation in 110 degree temps all day,by my self. Yea buddy, that man figured there was nothing that Jesus couldn't handle.

Note the qualification of being equal to the least. We do in fact exhibit care in all things. We always choose with a guide, that being good in relation to our model of the world.

It all comes down to whether the person asking the question is actually trying to be a Christian or whether he is just looking for permission to do the things he already desires to do.

Dude, note exclamation points in your own discourse. I am as light as a feather. I enjoy talking to you.
At the same time, we've all heard that statement, what would Jesus want me to do, and the solution to that question is always a matter of speculation. The question that I pose, can be genuinely answered as it is incumbent to our own action.

Perhaps I am just simple, but I fail to see anything speculative about Jesus' answer to this question."love your brother as yourself" now ,to me, this is a pretty straight forward answer. If I would like something done to me, who is the least among us, then I should not expect my brother to achieve any greater height than I am prepared to walk with him. Please forgive my simple theologies, but when I went to seminary we were taught then simplicity is divine because we can all join in.

note don't read to much into my exclamation points as I suck at punctuation:D

Yes indeed, a simple directive, and were it noted, no need for the question, what would Jesus want you to do. There is nothing speculative about Jesus' answer, but every thing speculative if the question is regarded as the guide.
Therefore, if you are using a question as a guide, it needs to be one that you have or can provide the answer to.

I figured out long ago that no 2 christians are exactly alike in their beliefs, does that mean there is only one Christian, a few; you have me confused now. Which church is the Right one to attend in order to be a True Christian? Is there a copyright on the name "Christian?" A fee maybe? Does one have to swear an oath? A test that one must pass?

I'm glad you agree that us non-Christians have been treated unfairly in not being allowed a "seat at the table" in mainstream society.
