Duddee savoury and sweet are toootally different!! I couldn't dream of putting ice cream with cous cous!!

I guess thats why americans have doughnuts and pancakes for breakfast? Mmmm bran flakes and sooyyaa

Amen mandy, I could soooo easily (I think) be a vegan if I could find a decent cheese alternative!! I found my love of vegan ice cream ^^ I'm basically eating 75% vegan :) Damn cheese!!

cheese alternative? good luck. You should just try to get organic cheese from someplace local that treat there cows like pets with love and respect...that way there isn't moral wrong doing to and you won't have to find a substitute that will hail in comparison.

I used to be vegan but start eating meat again about a year ago in increasing amounts but I still haven't gone back to dairy. I eat cheese with a few things but nothing significant. I RARELY eat something like pizza. But I haven't had a glass of milk in years. Milk kinda grosses me out (at least the shit from the store. If I could get unpasteurized milk here I would.) It's such a huge misconception that we need milk to be healthy. Humans are the only animal in the entire kingdom that drink milk past infancy. How did drinking milk from another species become the norm? The whole idea behind it weirds me out.

agreed. I can't remember the last time I ate a doughnut for breakfast.

Bacon and eggs dipped in syrup is quite the combination though. But I don't get though when people generalize and say American's don't have the distinction between sweet and savory as much as other countries do.

Pancakes = american's version of crepes

Doughnuts = versions of this treat all over the world. we aren't the only ones to fry some sugar loaded bread.

That assumption is dumb if you ask me.

plus, savory+sweet is a fairly common combo. Caramel popcorn? Peanut m&m's?
and yeah, before I became a vegetarian, bacon dipped in maple syrup was a favorite.

I'm not reading that, but I don't think it would change the fact that I love cheese and will always eat it. I'm a vegetarian for now, but when I have my own place I'm gonna raise lots of animals then cut their heads off.

I could not eat bacon even if I was an omnivore. It's not Jew friendly.
And kudos to all the vegans. I thought about going to the next level but a life without Ben and Jerry's seems depressing.

In the UK they actually use these words frequently to describe the item of food. I think that is what I actually noticed the most. In Canada I rarely talk to someone about whether they are a sweet or savory person.
